not safe. not realistic.

It's very expensive too. The amount of land the real track will take because of the plane's wingspan... And having to constantly cut off and trim all the vegetation around the real track... ....

What if the cable snaps? Where will the giant page land safely if there is no nearby airport?

Or what if some of the rail tracks get rusty or decomposed in the foundation..... And the flying train pulls out the rail track out of the ground from the weak link..

Then security implications of putting thousands of people in one flying plane... If the plane crashes, accidents do happen.... Thousands of people would die just like that.

Some countries like Nigeria are still struggling with locomotive trains... They want to introduce this one

Bullet trains may also be faster than it

Would be too complicated. I don't see it as been achieved any time soon. Risk of failure is also high as it gets its power from the ground.
