But it was clearly stated from the evidence you supplied, that it was a corrective slot allocation that has now balanced what was previously skewed to favour the South by the Jonathan regime and has now aligned with the federal character principal you seek to defend. It simply means the Jonathan regime with a Southerner as head of DSS, ensured more Southerners were employed based on "Merit". Now the Buhari regime with a Northerner as head of DSS, ensured more Northerners were employed based on the same "Merit". So what exactly is wrong that the federal character you love so much has now been balanced? We are a nation of hypocrites, nepotists and tribalists. And it shows with every regime since the return to democracy, except the Obasanjo regime. |

Throwback: Let them show us the total staff strength of DSS, their positions and regions let's actually know that it is truly balanced, not this myopic defence. |

clarocuzioo: That is a valid and objective request. Even you should wonder why those who bandy this list, did not bother to provide a list showing the total staff distribution of the DSS. So let them who obtained this recruitment distribution list equally obtain the total staff distribution list and propagate same all over the media, so we can all make an objective and informed opinion on whether the federal character principle is being adhered too. And if it is determined that indeed the Jonathan regime and the Southern head of the DSS then did not follow the federal character principle, the right punitive penalties should apply to them. But if it is determined that the betray of the federal character principle has just occurred under this Buhari regime with a Northern head of the DSS, same punitive penalties should be applied. I stand for only Justice and not aimless propaganda. |

nwaanambra1: Oh I forgot you are from the tribe that believes merit = Igbo. We still remember your meritocracy of the 1st republic and how it eventually moved the country forward into a sectional coup. You don't have anything to say that the federal character claimed to be corrected now, was abused by the previous administration that favoured you then? Is that how your hypocrisy will move the country forward? Are you offended that I did not lap up this news and begin to demand for the sacking of this regime that I find to be a failure? This kind of propaganda is for the likes of FFK and you, certainly not for objective minds. |
Re: Latest DSS Recruitments By APC Government by Throwback: 12:54pm On May 20, 2018 |
asorocker: We recently witnessed the ongoing recruitment into the police. How many candidates from the South bothered to apply compared to applicants from the North? Did you apply to join the police in this current recruitment and met the requirements but was not shortlisted? The recruitment into the many Direct Short Service for university graduates applying to the military has for many years followed a state based quota system for the federation. Enlisting into the NDA has also followed a state based quota system. The Customs has always and remains a cesspool of corruption in its whole operations that include recruitment. A corrupt and nepotistic situation that has benefited both Southerners and Northerners. |

Throwback: Please just zip it! Pray tell, what 'corrective measures' have been taken in favour of the SE? Or you feel from the late 60s to date that we've been treated as equals with others...esp' the other two legs of the tripod? When your god is now called a nasty, nepotistic bigot only interested in the core muslim north, you go begin dey vex! |

I don't blame them though,it's coz they are freely harnessing the free oil money in the SS & sharing it among their lazy northern states. This unholy union called Nigeria really need to split up so that everyone will know where he or she belongs 1 Like |
