Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is worried that hundreds of innocent lives have been lost this year alone and vowed that the incessant killings must stop.

He urged leaders to rise to the challenge of ending the senseless killings of Nigerians.

The Vice President expressed his worries on Wednesday at a leadership and stakeholders’ meeting in Lafia, the Nasrawa state capital as part of his assessment visit over the recent security challenges in the state.

He recalled several killings resulting from farmers and herdsmen crisis in the region since 2006.

He said the responsibility of finding solutions to the problems rest on the leaders, adding that there was no need to shift blames or point accusing fingers.

“It is very important we recognize that the place of leadership is so critical in the resolution of all the problems of this state and of our nation.

“Leadership loses relevance where there is no peace and the people are running all over the place and are unable to find security.

Liars, this man is so insensitive to the plight of Christians in this country, but history will remember him for it. He prefers his position to human lives.

Osinbajo should resign if he's sad about the plight of Christians in the Middle belt.

If you are also blaming Osinbajo for the killings in this country, check yourself may be something is wrong with your brain.

There is no need worrying because he cannot do anything about it, he is more or less there to sidon look and watch the movie while it plays on.

The best he can do is join hands with the reasonable Christian community and well meaning Nigerians to condemn his boss condoning the fulani brothers and declare them terrorist.

N, i disagree...Resignation is not the solution, its merely the coward way out. An honourable man will not resign...An honourable man is not one who run away in the face of adversity, he is one who stands, face the fight while proferring ways to overcome. I believe osinbajo will overcome, he is really trying.

The problems should be tactically and collectively approach together, if all our leaders can join this race in fighting against insecurity in the country, things would surely get better. But all they do is to criticize blindly, condemn and complain without any reasonable contributions to proffer and provide solutions to these menace. The Vice President is seriously working in many sectors for country to progress and peace reign in this country. We can do little if we are doing it alone but we can do as many as possible if we are doing it together...

It is high time all leaders come together in one accord to put an end to the killings, and stop passing blame game. The federal government is trying their best to stop this. No sane government will intentionally sponsor the killings of its own people!

All you IPOB people's talk now is Osinbajo should resign... He will never resign, he is a leader that face adversity and confront the battles by every means and not a leader that run when the problems come... As the govt is seriously working to put an end to this menace, they will never rest until justice prevail.

It's high time all the stakeholders join hands to stop the killing, bcs there can't be fire without smoke. The killing is political, tribal and religion intolerant. We have to pass law on Nigerian supremacy in which killing a Nigerian would be treated as a treaching and a war against Nigeria soverinity.

God has placed leaders in positions of leadership so that they would protect lives, and they do not have to be lives of those who speak the same language with them or belong their religion or tribe.
Leadership loses relevance where there is no peace and the people are running all over the place and are unable to find security.
