FG Declares Tuesday 29 Public Holiday To Mark Democracy Day by gideonjeta(m): 2:22am On May 26, 2018
THE Federal government has declared Tuesday, 29th May as a public holiday to mark the 2018 Democracy Day.
Minister of Interior, Lieutenant Gen. (Rtd) Abdulrahman Dambazau, made the declaration on behalf of the federal government.
Dambazau in a statement on Friday in Abuja congratulated Nigerians on the occasion and pledged government’s continued dedication to entrenching democracy in the polity.
According to the statement signed by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr M.B Umar, the Minister urged all Nigerians to trust and support the government in its commitment to building an indivisible, peaceful and greater nation based on the tenets of democracy.
