APC Has Encouraged Impunity More Than PDP – Baraje, Npdp Leader by larrysam1: 9:52pm On May 26, 2018
NEWS DIGEST – Leader of the New People’s Democratic Party (nPDP) in the ruling All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Kawu Baraje has said that the ruling party has become worse than the opposition People’s Democratic Party. The nPDP leader who stated this in an Interview with Punch Newspaper, said the party has succeeded in allowing impunity take over its affairs. Baraje said even though they gave an ultimatum in their recent letter, they were motivated to do so because the Buhari led administration has been sidelining them over the years.
He also said that ‘good governance’ has become absent in the Buhari’s government Mr. Baraje stated that: “Where we thought that we wanted to run for elective position , we met stiff oppositions , and when we give advice , they are not taken. The major thing that any average politician would want ever is recognition . These are some of the things that were breached. “If you look at the preamble of that letter, we said we stand for good governance and once good governance is absent , many things are absent . When we are complaining , when we were in PDP, we complained against lack of respect for the rule of law ; we complained against marginalisation of certain parts of the country ; we complained against impunity of government and so many things . If you look at the preamble and first paragraph of that letter, all the things we complained against that time are the things that are repeating themselves.” When asked why he keeps complaining despite the fact that many of those in the nPDP hold revered positions in the current government, Baraje said that is far from true, in his words: “I have told you about Saraki . I have told you about Dogara and the stiff oppositions that the APC, particularly the executive , gave to them . In the case of Tambuwal; he is a governor elected by his people . I did not want to talk about it but now that you have asked this question, it is provoking . “Are you telling me that the letter written by the so -called group of Abdullahi Adamu stating that our people were made chairmen of Senate committees , abusing and insulting the intelligence of Nigerians , that those are positions?
“These are statutory positions in that arm of government for God’s sake . They know what we are talking about. Anyway , we are happy about their letter, because they think Nigerians are myopic . Nigerians can now see who is deceiving who.”. The leader of former People’s Democratic Party members also gave a witty comment when asked if the members of the nPDP plan to return to their former party (People’s Democratic Party), he replied that his return and that of his colleagues remain a question for the future.
The nPDP consists of former PDP members currently in the All Progressive congress, the nPDP had alleged that they have been sidelined by the current government under President Buhari and threatened to quit the party.
One of the nPDP members, Olagunsoye Oyinlola already resigned to join former President Olusegun Obasanjo, African Democratic Congress.
It was reported that the leadership of the All Progressive Congress met with the aggrieved members recently but it remains unclear what their meeting produced as an outcome.

There is nothing constitutionally known as nPDP.They're simply PDP renegades that became obsessed with getting power that they went over to the then "not all that glitters is gold" APC to try their luck.
However, the sojourn is still another ill fated adventure.Well karma is real.It was same Kawu Baraje then & now.Enjoy you political fate.
