Omoyele Sowore, activist and publisher of Saharareporters on Tuesday led youths to the Ikeja residence of Late Chief MKO Abiola and upon noting signs that some politicians were billed to participate and speak at the program, instructed the youths to disallow any politician from coming to take shine with the event. He specifically said no person must leave their seats for any politician coming to the occasion, especially those who had no contribution to the June 12 struggle but merely got to power as sheer opportunists.

It seems Sowore's struggle back then has conferred a special franchise on June on him.
