That EFCC needs to be compelled to do its job, betrays the claims to its independence from presidential manipulation.

Wherever there is some merit to an allegation, EFCC should do the needful without any regard to the government of the day, or to the political status of the accused.

Oshiomole is one of the most corrupt entity on earth.

He built roads without declaring amount spent.

He built university for himself with state funds using an anonymous company as Private Partner which he own with government to build university. His company claimed to provide 70% while government 30%. After expiration of his tenure the school was claimed to have been sold to the private investor which was him.

He plung Edo state into heavy debt running into billions with few project to show for it. Even few months to the end of his tenure federal government approved another billions of loan to him.

Crippled the whole Local Goverment. He siphon the whole local government allocations that even his own party local government chairmen were all complaining.

A champion for one man one vote who conducted one of the worst local government election by declaring loosers winner.

He commisioned an empty hospital with Buhari only to be expose few weeks later that they just polish the exterior with no equipments inside. Till today that place is locked.

And he will still be the one shouting PDP thief..

The judge that gave that order is setting a bad precedent!
So any riffraff can approach the court to compel the EFCC to probe someone based on a flashy house? or a nice car? With no evidence that the person is actually corrupt?
Normally if you have evidence that someone is involved in corruption, you write a petition to the EFCC detailing your evidence and the EFCC investigates. But to ask a court compel the EFCC to just probe someone because the person has a fine house, it amounts to overstretching the resources of the EFCC. Instead of that man to provide evidence that Oshiomole stole money, he is just making noise. This is a very bad precedent and will subject everyone to EFCC scrutiny. If we by mistake we have a dictator as president, he can make use of the precedent that this judge has just set, to go after anyone he dislikes with the EFCC.
