Hello gurus in the house, I am hoping to get a small car in the next few months. Budget is 900k- 1million.

I am a young guy, single, mid twenties, earn about 150k monthly, I don't go out often (max 4 times a week).

I need a rugged car, easy to maintain, fuel efficient (because I handle deliveries sometimes for my business - a BBQ spot), and not so ugly (I go out for client meetings once in a while).

I have gone through some posts here and have seen someone talk about Honda Civic 2002. Please the floor is open, thanks guys.

2003 to 2008 toyota avensis 2.0L engine (corolla is robbers magnet but this avensis blends in)

2003 to 2008 nissan sentra (if you are in the north leave this)

Honda accord (EOD) 2004 to 2007 4cylinder. I know some parts of south south like Akwa ibom and cross river has good roads.

Nissan isn't common in the north and spare parts of the car in the north are twice the price sold down south.

Start looking around to see what cars tickles your fancy then see if you can afford it.

Any car will break, parts are at most a week from UK or USA from shipping guys on here.

No there was none. besides only those imported from US had CVT and it started in the 2006 upwards version.

from 2006 it was specified that the US version was only fitted with CVT because most civic in naija are bought brand new most would be fitted with automatic

7th generation I don't know 1999-2005
8th generation hybrid only 2006-2010
9th generation all civic variants Si,LX,Ex etc were fitted with CVT for the US market

my guess is that 1999-2005 hybrid of that generation would be fitted with CVT. but honda cvt isn't an issue except you pour ATF inside instead of CVT fluid.

Funny enough, a lot of the Civic sold brand new in Nigeria came fitted with manual gears.
