In light of Buhari's recent rant against restructuring Nigeria. I want to bring attention of Nigerians this video of Atiku Abubakar at Chatham House making the case for restructuring and entertaining questions from experts and the Nigerian diaspora.

The people most afraid of restructuring are not the poor Nigerians but the elites, those interested in keeping the status quo were stealing money at the federal level is like shooting fish in a barrel. Buhari came in, to maintain the status quo not bring any change in Nigeria.

it is okay to change and tweak the way Nigeria operates till we find a system that works for all of us. standing static when the are obvious faults in the current system betrays nefarious intentions and a lack of vision by the APC and Buhari.

If I were Buhari as a Northerner being the most sensitive to restructuring I would have taken my time in office to implement restructuring such that it does not negatively affect the North because Nigerians want restructuring and It will happen eventually. But this is obviously not what he wants, he wants the status quo.

It is a shame because the arguments for restructuring of Nigeria is compelling and the restructuring should not be a static process flowing with ideas and experimentation till with arrive at something that accommodates all Nigerians. but those that are sharing oil money monthly forget that Venezuela where sharing oil money like this but now that are in crisis.
