Army Arrests Suspected Terrorists Informants, Rescues Victim by 10Ebisco: 10:50pm On Jun 27, 2018
Troops of the Nigerian Army have arrested three suspected informants of bandits following a tip-off in Zamfara State.

According to a statement signed by the Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-General Texas Chukwu, the suspects are alleged to be responsible for giving information to the bandits in carrying out their criminal activities.

The statement further confirmed that the suspects will be handed over for prosecution after the completion of the preliminary investigation.

In a related development, the troops of operation IDON RAINI rescued a kidnap victim and recovered four motorcycles at Abodo village from the bandits.

The troop made the rescue while on a patrol at Dansadau in Maru local government area of Zamfara State.

According to the Army spokesman, “The bandits abandoned their victim and the motorcycles on sighting the troops and fled into the bush.

“Efforts have been intensified by the troops to get the fleeing bandits arrested.”

The statement further advised the general public to always report any suspicious activities or movement to the law enforcement agencies for prompt actions.
