Four more boys have today been rescued from the cave complex in northern Thailand where a youth football team became trapped two weeks ago, leaving just four teammates and their coach stuck underground for at least another day.


More than Half of the soccer team trapped inside a flooded Thai cave have now been brought out after divers executed a carefully constructed rescue mission.

But divers won't be rescuing any more children tonight, the Thai Public Broadcast Service announced this evening. It reported:


The other players and their coach will remain underground tonight and be rescued tomorrow, the state-funded news agency said.

The starved and exhausted pair are receiving treatment at the cave entrance before being airlifted to hospital, according to a local police chief.




The evacuation of 13 stranded schoolboys from a flooded cave in Thailand has begun and the first batch of the boys could be out before tonight, the rescue commander announced this morning.


An extraction team of 18 international divers started their 'extremely dangerous' operation at 10am local time after the families of the missing boys were informed.

All of the youngsters and their 25-year-old coach are expected to be out of the cave by late this evening if everything goes according to plan, Governor Narongsak told reporters on Sunday morning.

Each boy will be accompanied by two divers through the perilous 4km (2.5miles) journey but it's understood they will be able to walk most of the way after teams drained the water level by 30cm last night.



'Today is D-Day,' the governor who has led the rescue announced.

'The water level has reached the lowest it has been in ten days.

We ask to pray that this operation is a success.

'The boys are physically and mentally fit to come out.

All of the families have been told about today's operation.'

Fresh oxygen canisters are being delivered to the mouth of the cave as oxygen levels in the depths of the cave are scarce.

The youngsters will be led out of the cave one by oneand taken directly to hospital.

The most critical will be airlifted by helicopters while the less fragile will be transported by ambulance.

All of the boys have been told about the operation and they are ready to come out, the governor said.

'They are very strong and determined to come out and be reunited with their families.

'The rescue mission will continue until all of the stranded boys and their coach are safe, he said.

The first boy may be out of the cave by 9pm local time.

The evacuation team is made up of 18 divers.

This includes 13 specialists who have come to Thailand for the operation and 5 highly experienced Thai divers.

'This is an all-star team of divers,' Governor Narongsak said.



Experienced divers from all over the world are pictured making their way into the cave system which has already claimed the life of one rescuer.

They entered there when the place was dried..

After they finished there rituals and sort rain started and flooded the cave which made it impossible for them to come out due to the way the cave is.

The question is, what made them enter deep into the cave?

Finnish diver Mikko Paasi is one of many divers from all over the world who've joined in the rescue mission.


On standby, Thai nurses wait outside the Chaingrai Prachanukroh Hospital, where the schoolboys will be brought after being rescued.

The youngsters will be led out of the tunnels one by one and taken directly to Chiang Rai Prachanukroh hospital, 57km (35miles) from the cave.

The rope is the when it comes to cave diving to lead divers in/out, they did that weeks back and the water is not clear.

Going by this pix, even without the rise in the waterlevel coming out from the cave through this channel seems hard.
The coach should be questioned after all said and done. He led the boys on a journey of no return. Unless there is an alternate route
