The shift to motherhood can be a herculean task and if you are not careful, you can lose your sanity.
You are not a superhero, so do not be afraid to ask for help when you are choking under the weight of it all. Once in a while, it is necessary to have some you-time, so you could ask trusted friends to help out or get a sitter and do something that relaxes you.
It can be so easy to consider your own needs last when the kids come. while that is truly noble and the story of a lot of parents, it is important that you take out time and care for yourself. Eat healthy, exercise and take occasional time-outs. This will help you avoid breakdown and give you the needed strength to take care of others.

You need the strength and companionship of adults. Make out time for activities with your support groups (friends, families, your significant other and so on).

Have a plan and strictly follow through with it if you want to save your sanity. Planning ahead will save you a lot of stress and make your life easier. This will also help you prioritize tasks and achieve what is needed at the set time.
