Collation of results in the ongoing Ekiti governorship election is ongoing and nothing appears to be said about INEC, except one of the officials who was attacked by thugs in Emure LGA for resisting attempts to snatch election materials.

On Thursday, the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Prof. AbdulGaniy Raji, disclosed that non-sensitive materials were distributed to the 16 LGAs with security agencies escorting same. INEC vehicles deployed for the purpose reportedly returned to base same day.

Sensitive materials were thereafter deployed with no party alleging irregularities on the part of INEC.

Today, as promised, accreditation and voting started on time with huge turn out at some units. Electoral officers were seen defending materials with some sustaining injuries in the process. The card reader too appears to have been upgraded as minimal cases of failure were recorded.

As the 2019 general elections draw closer, kindly rate INEC using #Ekiti as a paradigm. The rating should be from 1 to 5 where 5 represent the highest possible mark and 1 the lowest possible mark.
