As we move on this month on the subject of leadership, I will be sharing some leadership matters with you for some days.

1. The Leader’s SIGHT: Pay attention to the right things. The devil will try all he can to show you the wrong things. If he succeeds, then you would have lost your ministry even though it may take a while before you know it. Peter walked on water as long as he kept his eyes on Jesus. Whenever you take your sight off what God is showing you, you lose out of the bigger plan of God. See men as God sees them. A leader treads the path of danger when he sees his members and people he should minister to as source(s) of help. The Lord that sent you will determine when and where your reward will come from.

2. The Leader’s HEARING: The primary assignment of a spiritual leader is to hear the mind of God and communicate it to the people. Our ministry of hearing God must of a necessity supersede our ministry of speaking. If you have not heard God correctly on an issue, you may mislead people with your own uncircumcised opinions.

3. The Leader’s VOICE: A leader’s voice must not be uncertain or weak. On every issue, your team and the people you are providing leadership for under the headship of Jesus Christ must know the dealings of God that have become the mainstay of your ministry that God is using to fashion them. Your voice must not be an emotional voice of weakness. If Mordecai was suggesting to Esther at the sight of Haman’s threat on the Jews, the nation of Israel wouldn’t have been preserved.


PRAYER: Lord, sharpen my eyes and ears; and give me a mouth and tongue of the learned in Jesus’ name.
