LEADERSHIP MATTERS (4) - PROVERBS 23:7 by Nobody: 4:56am On Jul 19, 2018
11. The Leader’s AUTHORITY: You are not the Prime Minister of the people; you are their spiritual leader and you must of a necessity lay your life down for these people. People will respond to your leadership and give you permission to lead them because of your moral authority. Don’t expect people to respond to you based on your title, instead live the life before them and your authority will not be in question.

12. The Leader’s JUDGMENT: Let the reason for your decisions be such that God can trust you more. When you put people in positions of leadership because of their economic status, you will not only miss God, but you will lose the future. Also, don’t disqualify people because of a trait you don’t personally like in them; those people can be your best assets if you value them for why God has brought them to you.

13. The Leader’s MINDSET: The church of God has lost a sizable number of professionals because their leaders have not displayed the highest level of thinking. Use the best of spiritual resources and make sure that your thinking is regularly upgraded to exploit the resources in your generation. Think globally and generationally; and see God honour your divine aspirations.

14. The Leader’s WORK: DO THE WORK OF YOUR CALLING. Some leaders marvel in the euphoria of holding a spiritual office without doing the work thereof. Every vision that God gives you will end up in practical work or else it will be wasted. Whenever God speaks to you, or you receive an inspiration in a meeting, labour to know the WORK that should follow.

PRAYER: Lord, strengthen my hands to labour and work commensurate to the grace and zone of my responsibility in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Jesus taught us more than this. We should not be hypocrites.
You can be called Rabbi(Jewish) but don't call yourself Rabbi.
You can be called Abba(Father-Aramaic) but don't call yourself Father.
The only One who can call Himself anything, 'cos He is Everything is God. This is the admonition of Jesus to Jewish Leaders to stop being silly hypocrites.
