Insecurity, Biggest Threat To Nigeria –emir Of Birnin Gwari by 13Ebiscoo: 1:25am On Jul 18, 2018 |
The Emir of Birnin Gwari in Kaduna State, Mallam Zubair Jibril, on Tuesday, painted a gloomy picture of insecurity in his emirate, saying bandits had completely ravaged the area. Jibril, who stated this at the Blueprint newspapers Impact Series/Award in Abuja, said the Boko Haram insurgency, banditry and ethnic clashes constituted threats to Nigeria and its neighbours. According to him, Nigeria needs to develop a strong mechanism of tolerance because of religious crises and ethnic clashes in some parts of the North. He stated, “Insecurity, especially the Boko Haram insurgency in North-East, ethnic clashes in the North–Central and banditry in the North-West, constitute the biggest threat to the country and its neighbours Jibril said in Birnin Gwari, bandits had made lives of the people hell because of attacks. He stated that Nigeria could only develop when youths engage in productive ventures and use their skills to produce goods. He stated, “Nigeria must evolve a strong mechanism of tolerance because our national development is indeed based on that. The unfortunate religious crises and ethnic clashes in some parts of Taraba, Benue and Plateau states could have been avoided, if we have evolved tolerance mechanism among us.” Lamenting insecurity in the country, the traditional ruler stated, “In Kaduna State, several local government areas are severely affected by bandits. Our story in the Birnin Gwari area of Kaduna State is that of agony and sympathy. “The bandits have made life hell for people in my area. The area has been completely ravaged by banditry, cattle rustling and abductions. PLEASE READ MORE>>>http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/07/insecurity-biggest-threat-to-nigeria.html

The emir is part of the problem. Gwari people are not Fulanis, and they don't want or need a Fulani emir. Mr. emir, how many Gwari indeginous people have you denied jobs, access to government facility, permit to build churches in the past? Soon we'll have emir of Jos and emir of Markurdi. 1 Like |

Insecurity a campaign promise which buhari have failed to curtail woefully. I think he should just accept that fact whether it is gaddaffi trained terrorist ,bokoharam or fulani terrorist him and his generals has goofed. If the same northern elders had allowed ihejirika to wipe the idiots out by today the story would have changed. Insecurity is worsened by nepotism |
