The Christ consciouness seems to be a collective consciousness, of humanity as a whole?

No. It is the highest state of spiritual awareness of humanity. It is a state of being. It is a state in which we have finally shed the ego, thus we are no longer egocentric in the way we deal with one another and the planet earth. We are still some distance away from this state of being, but we are getting closer and closer.

Mad_Max:

We've been here for hundreds of thousands of years and we haven't eliminated the negatives. Especially the insanity of war and conflict, sending people to their deaths by the millions because some daft politicians can't agree. There's enough food to feed everyone on this planet but people starve to death daily.

Mad_max, this thing happen in cycles. Always think in terms of cycles. Humanity reaches the christ consciousness stage, in an age that is popularly known as "the golden age", and then humanity begins to retrogress or devolve after that back to the the egoic state, popularly known as the "falling state". Then humanity has to start from square one again. These cycles of the ages are endless, and we are in the latest of those cycles right now of which we are just reaching around the halfway point. We've gone through the falling, devolution or retrogression portion of the cycle and we are about to start the upward swing towards the golden age yet again. There have been thousands, if not millions of such cycles in the long long history of the planet.

Mad_Max:

  You really think we'll ever get rid of the negatives?

We definitely will. You and i might not witness that in this lifetime, but definitely in other ones. We are heading upwards towards the golden age and we are all going together, the entire humanity.

Mad_Max:

Does the Christ consciousness have anything to do with the Christ of the bible, or is divorced from that, but a spiritual state nevertheless?

It has little to do with the Jesus christ, even though Jesus could be seen as having attained the christ consciousness, or the "buddha nature", as it is called in the eastern traditions like buddhism.

Mad_Max:

Humanity reaches the Christ consciousness in stages, and these happen in cycles? And these are golden ages where the negatives are purged? Then we regress again? History doesn't seem to bear you out.

History? The official world history never went beyond 2500 years (if i am not too generous). I am talking about, 6000 year, 12000 year, 24000 year cycles. The whole "official" history of mankind is just part of the regression phase of mankind in the latest age cycle. You can see what havoc and mayhem humanity went through during this historical times. That is the result of the regression. Now, add the madness that was happening in the biblical times and you will quickly see that we were in regression.

Globalization is a recent phenomenon.Groups lived in isolation for thousands of years, so humanity wasn't monitored as whole and there's no way for anyone to know what all of humanity were up to or what they were feeling till recently, with the advent of revolutions in transport and communication. There doesn't appear to have been global golden ages, much less observed cycles of one

Wrong. That is the theory that we were served told school, but that has been thoroughly refuted. Globalization is a recurring phenomenon. It has happened before and there are overwhelming evidences for this. A good example is the pyramids of Giza, plus other megalithic structures scattered all over the planet. These are structures that cannot even be built by todays's modern technology.Hindu cultural traces are found in valleys in the USA. How did they get there? Traces of Egyptian culture in mesoamerica, how did they get there? That tells us that there have been times in the distant past when humanity has been vastly more advanced than we are today and globally connected. The linear time history is bull.
Remember King Solomon's famous saying that, "There is nothing new under the sun". There is a lot of truth in that. Nothing is really new under the sun because everything has been done before and things are just being recycled. The history of mankind is being recycled through the ages in different versions and forms over vast periods of time.

Mad_Max:

. All of recorded History has merely been repeating itself ad nauseam: war, tribal conflict, conquest, exploitation, salvery, rich, poor, ambition, power struggles, bloodshed. And you say there has been thousands, maybe millions of such golden cycles? How do you figure that? Unless you're saying we're now heading towards a golden age of this Christ consciousness? It's possible, but how would you know that, since it hasn't happened yet and you ostensibly can't see into the future? How do you know you aren't adjusting reality to suit preconceived religious ideas?

In the case of past time cycles, anthropologists have had to rely on archaeological finds that destroyed linear history of this planet, and the eastern mythological traditions that merge quite accurately with these archaeological finds. Recorded history of this planet is not nearly enough to tell what happened in our past. But the digging is ongoing, and i can tell you once again, that it is absolutely different from the history we have been fed with.

I hope that you are not waiting for me to spoon feed you with all the informations, because i don't have them all. I would suggest that you begin your own personal research on this. That is what i and thousands of other folks are doing with the use of the internet. Researching into the past history of mankind is the most intriguing endeavor anybody can embark on. I am enjoying every minute of it.

Sure, people moved around. History isn't linear, it's cyclical. There's lots of things that hasn't been explained. They found an extinct human race whose dna is genetically distinct and bears no relation to anything on this planet, and whose last members died out 60000 years ago in Australia. Mungo Man. That's the second time an extinct human race would be found. We Homo sapiens weren't the only race of humans, merely the only surviving one. They think there may have been as many as 20 distinct hominid races.There are lots of things unexplained in science. Nevertheless there's no evidence human awareness was global until fairly recent in our history.  There are no alternative histories. They merely adjust what's known in the light of new findings. You derived an entire philosophy of global Christ consciousness and global cycles of golden ages from a few unexplained findings in anthropology and archeology? Come now.
