Apparently bereft of ideas on how to market his rejected candidature for the governorship of Imo State, a disgraced former governor of Imo State has taken an odd page in electioneering campaign promises by promising the people eternal life.

The former governor who has been dismissed by many commentators as an untrustworthy politician and jester announced in a radio program that he will ensure that the people do not die.

In a statement released by his media aide, Mr Collins Ughalaa, the Imo politician who mistakenly became governor of Imo State in 2007 as a kind of compromise candidate had made several fraudulent promises in his struggling campaign, but the recent one is seen as one of the most ludicrous and insulting campaign promises ever made by any politician.

The former governor who was accused of holding Imo people in disdain when he was governor is believed to have made this statement as a way of further denigrating the people as gullible citizens who can swayed by any campaign promise, no matter how daft.
