The Digital African Woman (DAW) is a social enterprise dedicated to the innovation and support for female-led tech businesses across Africa and the Diaspora through active training in digital skill development and business ideation.

Do you know any woman who deserves the #SheIsDAW award?

She should:

i. Be young, specifically, between 20-45 years of age;

ii. Demonstrate the 3 pillars of the DAW woman – empowered, engaging and supportive- applies progressive technology to grow and is an employer of labour;

iii. Be innovative;

iii. The organisation she represents should be a start up (between 0-5 years)

A Digital African Woman, as represented by the Lotus flower, is someone who has overcome hardship/ tough conditions and yet manages to create technology aided solutions that solve real life problems in her community.

The #SheIsDAW campaign would run until the 25th of July, 2018 and the winner would be announced on July 28th, 2018.

The Winner of The #SheisDAW award would automatically advance to the DAW Global Pitch in Brussels, Belgium.
