Since the inuaguration of the newly elected Chairman of Obio/Akpor LGA - Ekeh, jobless touts and criminals have taken over the whole of Obio/Akpor and it's environs chasing both private and commercial drivers thee by extorting them. Even while you are well parked off the road, they will approach you with violence with the aim of intimidating and extorting you and failure to comply,the vehicle will be forcefully driven or toed to the LGA premises with all tires deflated until you pay an unreceited amount ranging between #15,000 and #50,000 depending on your bargaining power. A pregnant woman recently had miscarriage while struggling with them right inside the LGA premises over her car and her car was quickly released to her when the touts saw blood. They resume this molestation as early as 6am in the morning targeting office workers who will be in a haste to settle with them without going to the office late. The LGA premises now looks like a motor park crowded with cars and their owners on daily basis due this irresponsible act. The exit gate is no longer on use as it HSS been converted to car park yo contain large numbers of vehicles being brought in by these touts. I therefore call on our amiable governor, Wike (the people's governor) to investigate and put a stop this madness before it deteriorates into something else.
