Yes quite true; however, Nigerians may in future be exchanging their healthier free range grown lean meat in exchange for less healthier high Cholesterol, heart disease inducing, hormone and antibiotics laden fatter meat.

Not everything we see and copy from Europe and America is necessarily good for us - even they too are reconsidering some of their high intensity battery farming methods for free range greener methods.

We should approach our transition with a mixed and more balanced perspective than what is otherwise being blindly canvassed.

We have been practicing ranching in Igboland for ages, our native goats and cows can't be compared with Fulani breed of cows .
In a decent society nobody allows livestock to wonder around to cause havoc to other people's business or property.
Its time other Nigerians go into commercial ranching like this man.

The bitter truth is that many of the Fulanis can not bear the cost of feeding in a ranch system and that is they practise free range system of rearing cattles......

Where is your proof that domestic chicken is more nutritious than agric breed??

Nigerians need to reduce their consumption of red meat.
Other private individuals also need to step in and start cattle ranching as a business. It is a very lucrative business anyway, and they can never lack customers.
State government can even get involved same way some states are involved in rice farming. Our population alone ensures any kind of agricultural business (whether crop farming or animal husbandry) is bound to have a market

Herders aren't actually those killing people. The killers only hide under the umbrella of myetti Allah to perpetrate their ill-will. The plan was so perfectly orchestrated that, the sponsors and the criminals know it would be difficult to start invading and claiming lands without operating as herdsmen because they know there are herders all over Nigeria. We have had herders in our various communities for centuries and they're peace-loving people. The jihadists behind the killings don't strike during the day when cows are being grazed. They operate in the wee hours , bringing into question if they're truly herders because cows don't see at night when the criminals usually strike.. Unfortunately, the myetti Allah take sides with the killers as it's their agreement to unleash terror on the land. Gone are the days when jihadists would start claiming lands and converting people forcefully. It's a matter of time, the sponsors would be unravelled. Buhari was invited to by the ICC recently and people were happy , saying it's because he's an honest and incorruptible man. Can he be more honest than macron of France, market of germany, trump of USA and Trudeau of Canada? Why was he the only president so invited? I just laughed at the myopic people saying praising him for being so invited. Those people have intelligence reports that are not available to us in Nigeria because we've been brainwashed and everybody is afraid of saying the truth to avoid being attacked. I can't blame them either because we live in a country where lives of human beings are worth nothing.

See cow I saw at a farm in UK, though Nigerian cows are leaner, tastier and far more durable; you can't raise enough cow using Fulani normadic methods to feed a growing population.. Ranches is the way to go..

Why Godson yab Kenya though cheesy

Oga, have you considered the quality of lives of those Fulani herders? If most of them were educated and contributing intellectually to the advancement of Nigeria, will they be following cows about in the bush?

Forget about your cholesterol talks. The Europeans and Americans have far better life expectancy, despite all the junks they eat. If you re very concerned about your health with respect to eating beef, then the best option will be to boycott beef almost completely. Europeans don't even eat beef as much as they eat chicken.

I’m really disappointed.
It sounds offensive but to whom? Kenyan Athletes? I doubt if they care. But fulani cows.........

telling the average nigerian to reduce his/her consumption of red meat is like telling someone to stop breathingcheesy. E go hard oo.note its we southerners dat consume more of red meat.most of these hausas/fulani if dem wan eat meat at all dem prefer white meat.

So what makes the nomadic cattle more nutritious,is the nutrition achieved via their upandan movement;north through or is it the blood of the victims of the herdsmen attacks that makes their breed of cattle nutritious.

People be selling different kinds of narrative just to achieve their nefarious agenda

Well you equally used distasteful word to describe Pakistanis, if you are not aware, Paki is a derogatory word used by racists to describe Pakistani's..

Emmhh..The cows sold in Britain by Asian stores might be bigger and fatter, ( breed, feed, genetic engineering, crossbreeding) the taste nothing like the smaller, but organic lean dark Nigerian beef that feeds solely on grass and get sunshine all year round..

If not for conflict with farmers and nuisance they constitute, it's actually a healthier way of raising meat than ranching..

And that doesn't tell you that he's not the real owner of the cows? Fulani herdsmen are just like slaves working for their masters holed up in his mansion with his 4 wives in posh areas.

An end to open grazing is freedom and better life for the nomadic fulani man.

You give a cow 1500cal of food and make it trek 100km to get another 2500cal of food. If you tell them to keep their cattle in one place now, they'll bring out daggers.

the ppl that have longer life expectancy are the asians cos of their healther lifestyle.westerners and africans are plauged with the same health problems cos we are copying their life style. We are being afflicted with their diseases....heart problems, cancer, kidney problems etc.
