And who is the C-in-C The police/security men are answerable to who? Well if it's to you as expected, then you're responsible for their excesses/impunity but if otherwise it simple confirms you're not in charge.

There are no excesses at play.

What you see happening in Nigeria is what you praise USA, UK and other nations when you see it happening but when it happens in your own country you call it witch hunt.

Some of you clearly do not know what you want.

Correctgist:
President Buhari has frowned at Nigerians always linking police invitation of high ranking politicians to him.

In a statement released by his media aide, Garba Shehu, President Buhari said he does not in anyway interfere in the proceedings of security agencies. Read the statement below

The Presidency has taken note of the orchestrated campaign against President Muhammadu Buhari each time a Very Important Person (VIP) is invited by the law enforcement agencies, in the discharge of their legitimate duties and functions.

The law of the land is intended for all, not for the poor or those at the lowest rungs of the social ladder.

It is odd, strange and bizarre that while ordinary citizens can be called up to answer questions or be interrogated, the VIP cannot be questioned without the annoying insinuations of partisanship, persecution or outright politicization.

This country cannot achieve development in peace when important cases are viewed through a political prism and the law is considered as being applicable to some, and not applicable to others.

The workings of law enforcement agencies are set out in the constitution and the laws of the country. If they worked at the discretion of past presidents, who decided who to question and who to detain, Nigerians should get used to the fact that this President is different. President Buhari does not and will not influence or interfere with cases.

The constitution clearly directs law enforcement agencies to promptly report and investigate any actual or potential infringement of the law and also initiate proceedings against all those involved.
This President is not the one who directs them on what to do.

President Buhari does not stand in the way of law enforcement either. Under our constitution, he has no powers to stop the investigation of anyone or institution. When they are set to investigate anything and anyone, the best friend of the law is the one who lets them do their work.

The President’s constant refrain is that he will not tolerate any form of illegality including corruption and the law enforcement agencies have been given complete freedom to identify and bring all culprits to justice. His instructions to them are very clear: Anyone with a case to answer or found guilty should not be spared.

Accused persons should approach the courts to plead their innocence rather than going to the public to plead persecution.

The country is better served when the law enforcement agencies are allowed to do their work and we must stop the actors of this dangerous game of politicizing law enforcement.

The offender will always look for a way to get public sympathy, with all the evidence so glaring and visible to the bind and audible to the deaf, we will not be coerced to believe in propaganda, if and if there is enough evidence against anyone pls let such be prosecuted

When is Minister for Finance getting her own invitation and for the law to be applied here too?

U see, I dont have issues with what Saraki or what is his name is going through now, like I have always maintained, these politicians are evil and they dont care about anyone..

The issue here is that Buhari seems to protect his friends so much.. It is not about APC, if u are loyal to Buhari, he will protect u no matter what..

The worse part of it is his silence when critical issues are raised...

Look at the case of Minister of Finance...habaaa

The forced used in chasing these politicians, we also need such force to chase fulaniherdsmen who are killing people anyhow..

Pls, it is not a crime to love a politician but make una get small conscience sir.

Don't mind stupid Bubu. Dasuki has been held illegally despite several court judgements to grant him bail. The same with Zak zaky among other illegalities. It's just very annoying that Bubu and his handlers can still open that dirty mouth of theirs to cite 'laws of the land' in defence of their several illegalities and impunity.

ASK PDP

If PDP come to look for vote from you in 2019, please ask why they couldn't complete Lagos - Ibadan expressway (a road that is less than 150 kilometers) after 16years in power and so much earning from crude oil sales.

In 2019 ask PDP why none of our refineries were producing when they left power after 16 years, they neither built new ones nor fixed the existing ones, which is the reason why we still import fuel.

Please ask PDP why the East - West road was not completed after 16 years in power, meanwhile they always budget for that road.

Ask PDP why Enugu - Onitsha road was not completed for 16 years yet they always budget and embezzle the money.

Ask PDP why Enugu - Porthacourt road was not completed after 16 years yet they budgeted and embezzled the money.

Ask PDP why Ilorin - Mokwa road was not rehabilitated after 16 years.

Ask PDP why Sokoto - Kontagora road was never rehabilitated after 16 years.

Ask PDP why Kano to Maiduguri road was not rehabilitated after they spent 16years in power.

Ask PDP why Jos to Yola road was not rehabilitated after 16 years.

Ask PDP why one of their thieftains got 16 billion dollars to fix electricity but he embezzled it.

Ask PDP why the couldn't complete Mambilla hydro power project after 16 years.

Ask PDP why they allowed all our textile industries to die, up until 2003 some were still working.

Ask PDP why our foreign reserve became 29.8 billion dollars when they handed over on May 29, 2015, yet the earned about 140dollars per barrel of crude. With less than 45 dollars per barrel of crude Buhari has increased it to over 47 billion dollars.

Ask PDP why they could not defeat terrorism since 2009.

Ask PDP why Makurdi to Enugu road was not repaired after 16 years in power.

Ask PDP why they could not diversify our economy after 16 years of oil boom.

Ask PDP why they could not carry out the clean up of Ogoni land.

Ask PDP why they couldn't provide modular refineries to end oil bunkering.

Ask PDP why they couldn't solve the problem of epileptic power supply in 16 years.

Ask PDP why they embezzled all our money when we had so much, when crude oil sold for 140 dollars per barrel. PDP was supposed to save but they squandered everything and even stole all the savings we had, especially GEJ's Government.

In the days of PDP the CBN was their ATM machine.

In the days of PDP, their constitution was higher than the Nigerian constitution, impunity was the order of the day.

PDP elevated political desperation to the political space.

Nigerians we can never go back to PDP, it will amount to rewarding evil.
