Ohakwe, a journalist and host of the popular Morning Ride show on NTA who passed away late last year is being immortalised with the establishment of the Ohakwe Akwiwu Prize for fiction. This was announced on his post humous birthday on the 28th July 2018 This will be the first outing of the prize and it will be for short stories only (2500 words). The annual event and entries will be restricted to Nigerian writers resident in Nigeria with a theme for each year. The proposed theme for this year shall focus on GRIEF AND LOSS. The winners will be determined by a judging panel of literary experts.
