The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the PDP, Sen. Walid Jibrin, has described the recent defections across parties as acts of democracy.
Sen. Jibrin, at a news briefing in his office in Kaduna, said the PDP had many senators who could function as majority leaders in the senate when called upon to do so by the senate caucus of the party.
He said the PDP which had recorded some gains would not lose any sleep over Godswill Akpabio’s defection and that considering the recent action taken by Acting President Yemi Osinbajo to preserve democracy, the PDP was happy to donate Sen. Akpabio to the APC through him and with great pleasure.
