Following the statement issued on behalf of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN) yesterday, August 22, 2018, saying Bukola Saraki should resign his position as Senate President or be forced to do so, Nigeria's People's Democratic Party (PDP), has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to order the arrest of the MACBAN leaders.

Ever since the statement from Miyetti Allah went public, many Nigerians condemned the action, calling it an overreaching act from a group not associated with governance or any of the arms of government.

Whatever the case may be, do you think the People's Democratic Party are right for wanting the Buhari-led government to arrest the leaders of MACBAN? When did MACBAN become one of the arms of government in Nigeria?

Do you believe Buhari is showing support to the association by being silent? If this statement had emanated from an interest group in the Southern part of Nigeria, do you think Buhari will be silent?

These are important questions to ask regarding this situation.

It is also important to remember that every Nigerian ought to fight for Nigeria and not take sides with politicians over how they conduct their affairs and all the dirty politricks in between. This is because, at the end of the day, there are no permanent friends or enemies in Nigerian politics, only permanent interests, hence, the party politics we see on full display every day.

APC government should as a matter of concern ordered for the arrest of whosoever is part of this call to anarchy.
