Abians, Beware of Uche Ogah, a Real Con Man on the Prowl

The purported declaration of Uche Ogah for the governorship of Abia State at the forthcoming 2019 gubernatorial election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, was nothing but a charade and a reflection of the desperation of Ogah to use the election as a money spinning machine for himself since he has gone broke.

It is on record that Uche Ogah has gone bankrupt, hence, he is owing his staff at Masters Energy a whopping sixteen months salary arrears with the claim that the federal government is owing him billions of naira in subsidy payments which was one of the reasons he joined APC in the first place as an avenue of seeking favours before the party hierarchy.

Having gone broke, I have it on good authority that Ogah has made himself available to the current governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, as a tool to be used to scuttle the governorship ambitions of Alex Otti who, like Ogah, comes from the same zone of Abia North. It is thought by the Ikpeazu camp that if Ogah could pick the ticket of APC and Otti picks that of APGA, the votes in Abia North would be bitterly divided between them while Ikpeazu benefits monumentally from such division from a zone that should have been the stronghold of either Ogah or Otti should one of them not pick their party’s ticket.

More unfortunately, even the money which Ikpeazu was said to have given to Ogah for his declaration ceremonies and other election needs has been pocketed by the man who, in his usual character, turned around to claim that the money was snatched from one of his assistants by gun-wielding robbers on their way to the venue of the declaration.

What a story!

As a former PDP member myself, Uche Ogah had earlier told us that he was so broke he could not afford the APC Nomination and Expression of Interest forms to the extent that some of his boys had to contribute money to bail him out. Sadly, he came up with the fake robbery story to hoodwink even his own loyalists after initially keeping the fact that he already got some money from the governor.

As a man of good conscience, it would be wrong of me to know all these and still allow Ogah to continue in his deceit of the people. He should come out clean on how he has sold himself to the Ikpeazu camp with the sole purpose of scuttling Alex Otti’s chances at the election.

This has exposed Ogah as a real con man on the prowl to make some money off the system. Abians should beware of him!

Otti nwere weight.
