On Wednesday 30th June, 2010 in Yola, Labour Congress leaders physically assaulted the most popular journalist in the state, Mallam Katakore Adamu Tanko. The guy in question has been a consistent irritation and nuissance to the state. He is the host of the popular programme called "Taba kidi taba karatu" in Adamawa State, which he uses for insulting people and promoting religion as well as politcal sentiment. That day was unlucky day for him; he went beyond his limit to publicly condemned the strike action embarks by workers in the state.  Katakore in his usual unguarded utterance, tongue lashed them. He openly condemned their action. The leadership of Labour Congress decides to descend on him when he was live on air by around 12 Noon. They disrupt the program and drag him away from the radio station. He was severely beaten and was later released.

There are two sides to every story: why should they entera station and disrupt a programme. Where is the freedom of speech?
