aduni20: I have said it time and time again, if you want to understand how Tinubu has such a strong grip on APC, go to one of the weekly APC meetings in your ward - Okada riders, taxi men, and market-woman - correct grassroots benefiting from their party, and extremely loyal. Not to mention all the power-brokers in Lagos politics that are also on Tinubu's side - Odumbaku, KWAM 1, Aregbe, GOS etc, or his federal boys - Yayi, Fowler, Gbajabiamila etc. To cut Tinubu down, you also need to cut down dozens of very powerful wealthy men in Lagos society, without whom Tinubu would be nobody. The last real PDP threat to Tinubu - Obanikoro has moved to join him; the people who can bring him down would be people within his own creation. |
