Here are the rundown of them...

-Biafra represented the nationalist aspirations of the Igbo people, whose leaders felt that they could no longer coexist with the northern-dominated federal government.
-The war came, therefore, the culmination of the peace and stability that was uncomfortable in preoccupation with the independence of Nigeria in 1960. This position has its origin in geography, history, culture, and demography of Nigeria.

-The immediate causes of the war in 1966 included a military coup led by Major Kaduna Nzeogwu that led to the deaths of prominent Northern masters such as Tafawa Belewa, a counter-attack led by Yakubu Gowon, who led brutal murder of Aguiyi Ironsi, Nigeria’s first head of state, his deputy Fajuyi, etc. and the persecution of Igbo living in northern Nigeria.

-The former Eastern Region under Lieutenant Colonel Ojukwu saw the act of creating states by decree “without consultation,” as the straw that broke the camel’s back, and declared the region an Independent state of “Biafra,” but the federal government Lagos saw this as an act of secession and illegal.

-Several meetings were held to resolve the problem peacefully without success. As a result, the Nigerian government had no choice but to use force to recover the territory.

-The federal side expects a quick victory, but in late April 1969, after nearly two years of bloody and destructive war, the expected quick victory had evaded the federal side, the rebel enclave was greatly reduced in size, but Biafrans continued to hold.

-On January 10, 1970, the head of state of Lieutenant Colonel Ojukwu so-called Biafra, realizing the desperation of the situation fled the enclave with their immediate family surrender to the army, General Phillip Effiong.

The president was igbo,

Most of the officers in the army were igbo.

But no, it wasn't enough. How can a Hausa man be the prime minister.

Gowon directly caused the war by going back on the Aburi agreement he signed with Ojukwu in Ghana.

Yes I am. Of the 12 points agreed and signed in Aburi, one of them was that Gowon as head of state would not change the 4 Regional structure of Nigeria unless all 4 Military Governors of the time agreed with him. Gowon came back to Nigeria and on the 26th of May 1967, he announced that the 4 Regions would be abolished to create 12 states, in clear violation of the Aburi agreement.

With the Aburi agreement broken, Ojukwu had no choice but to declare the Eastern Region a separate country and this led to war.

Had Gowon kept to the Aburi agreement he signed, there would have been no need for Ojukwu to secede and there would have been no war

You are starting from the middle bro. You need to go back to what happened before Aburi, and what happened before then. That's where the war started from.

Nigeria is not the only country that had a military coup, most countries in West Africa went through military coup, but they did not fight a civil war.

What led to the civil war was not the coup. What led to the war was Gowons inability to keep to the agreement he signed

What happened was more of ethnic killings than a coup. After which igbos in the north and in all the barracks went about making jest of their nothern colleagues. This was what led to the massacre and then the exodus of igbos from the north. There wouldn't have been a need for the Aburi meeting if all these hadn't happened.
And Gowon wouldn't have had the moral justification not to honour the Aburi accord had Ojukwu played fair.

Well it may interest you to know that the ethnic killings were already a routine thing before the coup. Hundreds of Igbos were killed in the 1945 Jos massacre and the Kano massacre of 1953. So anyone who thinks that the massacre started with the coup is someone who doesnt know Nigerian history. The crux of the issue is that Ojukwu and Gowon met and signed an agreement that would prevent war and keep Nigeria one. Gowon caused the war by going back on that agreement

There had never been a situation where soldiers turned against their fellow soldiers.
But if we are to look at it from your angle, was there a clause in the Aburi agreement that made seccesion an alternative should any party fail to honour it?

....and an equally discerning mind would ponder on the rational behind the killings of ibos ( in the northern region) in 1945 and 1953. However, in spite of all these killings, ibos did not ask to seceed from the union rather they were the ones singing the discordant song of One Nigeria among all the regions.

In fact, when self-rule came to the regions, ibos chose to wait for their killers up north before attaining self-rule for their people.

No be today, the north don dey slaughter ibos in their midst however the only difference was the fact that the killings in 1966 was after the ibos had sucessfully satisfied their dream of being in charge of the newly independent nation and the power and domination they dreamt off had swiftly filtered through their fingers.

Nzeogwu was not the leader of the coup. He was just an idealist who was brought on board two months into the planning stages. To him, he was part of a revolution and he executed his part in Kaduna while his comrades in the south were selecting and killing non igbos in the south.
The killings of igbos after the coup was mainly as a result of attitude of easterners towards notherners after the coup. The made posters of Major Nzeogwu standing over Ahmadu Bello and market traders hung it outside their shops, the recorded songs regarding the killings and were playing it everywhere, soldiers and their wives constantly taunted their nothern colleagues on how their premier hid behind his wives when they went to kill him etc.

If Brigadier Ogundipe,Ademulegun ,col Shodeinde , col Adebayo , Obasanjo and co didn’t think what was happening in their region was worth staging a coup and murdering innocent people in their bedrooms over why should Major Nzeogwu and Ifeajuna the Coup leaders think so?
And the worst part was they murdered their own Military colleagues who were not even Politicians.
