my fears;
am afraid of failing as a mother
am afraid of failing as a wife.

I want to give my kids the best in life; empower them in/from their early lives
I want a happy home but what if
there is no resources to empower them (kids)? this is one question that eats me up.

Been married for 16 yrs now is not dat bad but d stacks nd demand can be killing

Op.. I would have hugged you if I saw you now. Exactly my fears.. But mine is even bigger as I factor in the moral decadence of our society where meritocracy is in extinction, the unfair and unequal system we find ourselves in Nigeria where good opportunities are for the rich and connected. I can't bear to have kids in this kind of society where the chances of the. Being raped, abused mentally, physically, psychologically is very high and absolute nothing can be done about it. And for me.. That's failure as a Father.

Unfortunately, meritocracy matters to me. Because I know what it has deprived me till date. Not even given the opportunity to even prove yourself..lol.. Not give the environment to thrive in your own niche.. I can bear it for myself.. I can't survive it for my children.

How do you even leave the house in the morning to work or school of you're afraid of dying?

The least thing you should be afraid of is death.

I could write you a thesis about why you shouldn't fear death, but I don't want to be too forward.

Despite the system, don't be discouraged. keep doing what you know best. one day posterity will smile on you. I understand your fears very well, there are experiences you had, you won't want to kids have a taste of.
Like myself I don't want my kids depends on anybody for essential needs of life (clothes, shelter, feeding, luxury). I know how it feels to lack these benefits and dangers it exposes one to if you are not contented

Bad marriage
Failing my children
Failing as a first child

The pressure is real...but I choose to believe!
