The osun election is making me ask this question. How come all 48 parties are taking part in the re-run on September 27th ? |

Hi... Rerun election actually deals with election to be held in a given area where electorates were disenfranchised as a result of cancellation, violence or due to the fact that election wasn't held as scheduled. Run-off election has to do with a secondary election between two leading candidates where neither of them meet with the necessary requirements to be declared winner after the main election. Meanwhile, a runoff is held in the entire area while a rerun is held only in units that were disenfranchised. In rerun all participating aspirants are eligible but in a runoff only the two leading candidates are eligible. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Re-run simply means re-first election and run-off is second election. 1 Like |
