Hon. Solomon Adaelu A Pace Setter In The Legislative Assembly By Uche Aguoru by chuksahamefule: 8:22am On Sep 24, 2018
Honourable Solomon Ezinwa Adaelu’s duty as the member representing Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbor federal constituency in the house of representatives commenced effective, 9th of June 2015, Upon assumption of office as the member representing Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbor LGA, Hon. Adaelu just like a determined servant, hungry to make a mark and create a difference from what has come to be accepted as the unpropitious fate of Abians in the hands of those sent to Abuja to represent us.

Rather than become an emperor and lord over his constituents as the demeanor of other federal legislators tend to suggest, Hon. Adaelu rather chose to deny himself the basic comfort that is associated with high profile public offices such as the house Of Representatives, while his colleagues were enjoying themselves, Sloddy sacrificed his statutory rights and earnings to give his constituency their most pressing need at the time, which is access roads from one end of his constituency to another, most especially within the rural populace which constitutes the greater percentage of our populace.

When other representatives were busy enjoying the 18 million naira state of the art vehicles plus other juicy pecks statutorily given to them by the leadership of the National Assembly, Honourable Adaelu denied himself that luxury but rather converted the money and took extra loan from banks to procure and donate road construction equipment (3 Caterpillars, 3 Graders, and 3 Pail loaders per LGA) because of the pitiable state of the rural roads within Obingwa/Osisioma and Ugwunagbo LGA’s

The advent of Hon. Adaelu in the green chambers has brought a renewed consciousness in the minds of Abia electorates and has awakened the minds of Abians who are now asking questions and demanding for the score cards of their representatives who in most cases before now only announce their presence, with stupendous wealth acquired through our votes and will come back after years to purchase our votes for another term of ineffectualness.

When other Representatives are flaunting their expensive cars Hon. Adaelu is grading and maintaining roads for his constituents, while other legislators are showing off their wealth, Hon. Adaelu is purchasing Jamb forms, paying tuition fees and giving scholarships to students in his constituency, where other lawmakers are acquiring mansions across the globe, Adaelu is constructing cottage hospitals across his constituency, when other federal law makers are brandishing their status, Hon. Adaelu is giving his constituents free health care and free legal services.

And today Honourable Adaelu has become the compass upon which standard performance, quality representation, capacity and dexterity is gauged, not only amongst the seven house of Representatives members from Abia state but also within our neighbouring south eastern states of Imo, Ebonyi, Anambra and Enugu states.

When next you encounter your non-performing representative ask him/her to go and learn how to represent a constituency selflessly, intelligently, conscientiously, effectively, and effectually from Hon. Solomon Ezinwa Adaelu.
