If you Christian preachers claim that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because of their homosexual acts, then why are there still homosexuals still alive today, or did God fail to kill them? Why did he let these people become homosexuals in the first place, if he hated it so much?

The Anglican church in Nigeria has always firmly opposed homosexuality. The immediate past Primate of the church, Archbishop Akinola, was quite outspoken about it and the church in Nigeria was in the forefront of Anglican Communions from across the world who severed ties with the US Ecumenical Church for ordaining a homosexual priest. South Africa has legalized homosexuality so I guess Desmond Tutu has to toe the line in order to remain relevant in the scheme of things Smiley

For all the preachers who have so much to say about homosexuals, what does Jesus says? Anything from the 4 gospels will suffice.

the sins of this world is not yet up to that of sodom and gomorrah, we will get there someday i believe, in sodom and gomorrah they were fornicating publicly in sacred places of worship, most people still do it in secret. so we are still far fromm there.

Kudos to the Bishop but why he is taking him toolong before he took his action little wonder he was accused of supporting the priest, i am an anglican, this is what our retire primate stood against why should that be springing up now in Nigeria Godforbid! I don’t think anyone in this forum is saying that the sin of homosexuality is unforgiveable, The point is homosexuality is a sin (if we all agree) then what is the remedy REPENT !!! what does repent connotes? Make a U turn. Apostle Paul was a murderer, he repented (he stop the act), Davis did not justify the act of adultery (He cried to God In repentance). Why will you want to continue in sin and asking for the grace of God to abide in you. Read Rom 1:27-32

its not new. a lot of ministers are devils, hiding under the guise of religion to commit all sorts of atrocities. theres is nothing new under the sun.

the position of the church of nigeria anglican communion is very clear and the reaction of the bishop that disrobed the priest is very clear representation of the position of the church. remember the former primate akiola's role in fighting the menace. we dont support homosexuality as anglicans.

Homosexuality is abnormal and unnatural, whether or not animals engage in it doesn't mean we should censor it or copy them because we are

not animals, we are intellectual beings and should live by reason and not instinct. 

Saying it is okay to eat up your own vomit like some dogs do or eat your own poo like some other animals do is utter nonsense.

I am pleased with the stand of the Nigerian Anglican Church on the issue, that they took the bull by the horns because nowhere in the Bible is

homosexuality condoned.  If God wanted man to sleep with man, in the beginning He would have created Adam and Steve  instead of Adam

and Eve. Let's face it and tell ourselves the truth, what is wrong is wrong no matter how long or how widely accepted it is!
