@UcheSecondus, to cut the story short (in case of Ambode's eventual defection from APC), giving Ambode the PDP ticket would be a major strategic blunder that would seal your fate for the worst in Lagos.

Basically, Ambode's chances of winning 2019 are very slim as a PDP candidate. And even if he manages to pull it off, it would be without (destroying or diminishing) the APC structure in Lagos. This means, you guys will simply bring out the very worst of Tinubu and his gang in 2023. You don't want to confront that, even if you win the center in 2019.

What am I saying? The point is, you are witnessing Tinubu's most vulnerable political era right now. This is not the time to pull a half-hearted strike. You should be aiming to completely take out (or permanently diminish) his political structure in Lagos; while, at the same time, strengthening and consolidating the PDP structures. PDP should force him into a permanent retirement. But you cannot do that with Ambode.

Your best bet is Jimmy Agbaje (not Otedola). You can only go for Otedole if he is able to convince Jimmy to work for him. That's one major way to avoid destroying your own structure.

So, basically, he does not have adequate political capital that deserves his imposition on Lagos PDP. Thus doing so will not only be a bad precedence and grave injustice to the faithful (and more deserving) PDP Lagosians; it would simply implode the PDP structure and unify APC.


PDP's best move is to watch Lagos APC divide itself (or even instigate it). For that to happen effectively, PDP should allow Ambode to be humiliated by Lagos APC while encouraging him by proxy to continue fighting his lost battle. This will divide APC voters while PDP puts its own house in order to go all out with Jimmy (or any other prominent person that Jimmy endorses).
