I am not necessarily a Tinubu's fan but truth must be told that he's not necessarily the individual behind every political crisis in Lagos state. We have to understand that ss a leader his hands are sometimes tied and he has to dance to the tune of the majority in the Lagos APC.. Lagosians deserve choices. Ambode ought have agreed to participate in the primary ab initio instead of seeking consensus and consequently overheating the polity. Of course, I believe he has a chance of being victorious at the end of the process. But if he flails in the process, he should just accept the outcome in the spirit of sportsmanship.
I pray the better or the best candidate wins tomorrow.

As a sitting governor and one who by all standards has performed well and is on track top do more, Ambode has the option of first refusal to seek reelection especially at party level.

Whatever is happening now is Tinubu's fault because he knows his word holds sway in Lagos APC. By the way, Ambode has even agreed to go along with the primary, now he is being threatened with impeachment. That is pushing him too far. You postpone the primaries, u ask him to step down...a Governor?! Of Lagos?! Haba...He is fighting back... as should anyone.

Many people still don't understand what's going on in this battle for the Lagos State governorship position. They think that it's about Bola Tinubu. They don't know that it's about structure.

This issue always pops up in Nigerian governments. It's an issue in both military and civilian governments.

Military and civilian governments usually get to power on the back of a structure. The leader of the structure is not necessarily the leader of the new government.

The members of the structure have issues that they expect the government to address and that's why they brought it to power. The structure might be wide and diverse and the expectations of the members of the structure might also be wide and diverse, but the new government must do everything it can to address those expectations.

Sometimes the head of the new government does not address the issues that the structure expects him to address and so it's up to the members of the structure to remind him. But sometimes the head of the government becomes power drunk and refuses to meet with members of the structure (remember Abacha?). Then the members of the structure will take their concerns to the head of the structure and appeal to him to speak to the head of the government.

If the head of the structure receives too many complaints, then he must remove the head of the government. If the head of the government refuses to listen to the head of the structure, then the government is doomed. If the head of the structure does not listen to the members of the structure, then both the structure and the government are doomed.
