Few hours to the emergence of Presidential flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chairman of the National Convention Planning Committee, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, expressed joy that everything has been put in place for a credible process to be delivered.

Addressing Journalists at the Adokiye Amasiemeka Stadium, Port Harcourt, Rivers State (chosen venue for the Convention) on Friday, Senator Okowa, who is also the Governor of Delta State, observed that members of the main organising committee and those of sub-committees have been working round the clock to ensure that no stone was left unturned for a credible and acceptable process to be delivered.

According to him, “You can see that everything is right on course; the stadium is beautifully decorated and we are set for tomorrow (Saturday, 06/10/18).”

“Accreditation of Delegates is a very sensitive issue, so, we are starting the accreditation process tomorrow at 7 am,” the governor said.

Fielding questions from journalists about withdrawal of aspirants from the race, the governor said: “There is a process for aspirants to withdraw from the race, none of them has stepped down, we have 12 aspirants for now.

“We are expecting a very good convention, we are working very hard to deliver a process that is credible, free, fair and acceptable.

“As you can see, I and my colleagues in the committee have been round the venue, ensuring that all that is needed for us to have a smooth sail is put in place; we have also made the stadium our secretariat that is why we held in one of the Executive Lounge here at the stadium to deliberate on sundry issues that have to do with the entire convention.”

PDP should not dissapoint Nigerians. Nigerians are counting on PDP to elect Atiku Or Saraki to send Bubu back to daura. They are the only persons in PDP that can do it. PDP must not fail Nigerians when it matters most. 4 more years of Bubu is Armageddon!

they are all thieves, whether apc or pdp...abi u think atiku jumping apc to pdp and vice versa is doing it cos he has the genuine interest of Nigeria at hand? saraki is not even better...

I disagree. a leopard cannot hide it's spots. we were warned about Buhari. did people not cry out over his dictatorial tendencies? did they not raise questions about how he handled the oil sector when he was in charge back then? lots of issues were raised but because of the blind supporters we chose to be coupled with the fact that pdp was so corrupt we settled for Buhari.

don't be deceived by what they say. they are only working for their pockets. can you justify why Nigerian senators are the highest paid in the world?
Obasanjo's 3rd term agenda was it not corruption? GEJ and the way he handled Stella Oduah was that not corruption yet what is she doing still contesting for senate? has Buhari and the apc not proved beyond reasonable doubt that his corruption fight is just witch hunting? why can't Atiku go to the US? is that something that should be swept under the carpet or you think the US judiciary system is as corrupt as ours that they will put such heavy allegations on a man as big as atiku? look at what saraki and his family turned kwara to, what's the difference between him and Tinubu of lagos?

I'm just citing examples of both pdp and apc thieves so that if you are not getting paid for supporting them then you are wasting your time
