After so much anticipation, several political parties registered by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) conducted their presidential primaries and the right candidates have been
choosen.

Though, two parties are considered to have the majority of the electorate mandate in 2019, however, greenloaded looks at 20 candidates who would turn out their cards

1. President Muhammadu Buhari - All Progressives Congress (APC)

After several decamping in the ruling party, 14.8 million registered members and 7000 delegates picked the incumbent President of Nigeria has the flag-bearer of the party as Nigerians decides in 2019.

The president who is largely blamed by socialites and elites of the country for regression in the country economy and ethnic conflicts especially the fulani and farmers clash that led to the death of several Nigerians.

President Muhammadu Buhari would be backing on his supporters and northerners to return as the president of Africa most populous Country.

2. Atiku Abubakar - People Democratic Party (PDP)

Two-times Vice-president of Nigeria of the civilian regime of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo after several trials of getting a party presidential ticket since 2007 finally got the opposition party to face his fulani kinsman come 2019 in Port Harcourt when over 1,000 delegates chosed him over 11 other candidates including Governor Tambuwal and Senator Bukola Saraki.

While speculation about Atiku's criminal records especially privatization of public properties, no criminal charges has been made against the former VP.

Atiku and PDP would be expecting votes from Nigerians who are not satisfied with President Buhari's second term bid and PDP loyalists.

3. Donald Duke - Social Democratic Party (SDP)

After detecting the PDP ticket was going to be zoned to the North, Donald Duke decamped to SDP.

The former cross river governor had his long time goal achieved as he defeated former minister of Information, Jerry Gana to emerge as SDP flag-bearer.

4. Olusegun Mimiko - Zenith Labour Party (ZLP)

One of the most surprising candidates on this list the former governor of Ondo state who ditched the PDP and LP for ZLP and got its presidential ticket.

His emergence saw Nigerians talking on micro blogging site, twitter and his campaign is named after his alias "Iroko" of which he is widely known in his hometown in Ondo State.

Ondo would be a strong hold for Iroko and ZLP at the presidential election come 2019

5. Fela Durotoye - Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN)

Leadership expert emerged as the flag-bearer of a factional primary held by ANN.

The 47 year old father of 3 would be expecting votes from youths across Nigeria as he preaches a new Nigeria as his gospel.

He is however in a battle of party candidacy with Hashim Olawepo who claims he won the also won the primary.

6. Gbenga Hashim-Olawepo - Alliance for People Trust (APT)

After struggles with Fela Durotoye on who emerges as ANN flag-bearer, the former student union leader emerged as the flag-bearer of APT, a three-party Accord Alliance comprising of National Intervention Movement (NIM), People's Trust and ANN, when Lady Awolowo and Dan Musa stepped down for him.

The 2007 Kwara State election runner up is a man to watch out for at the 2019 poll.

7. Obiakweli Ezekwesili - Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN)

The former convener of the Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) campaign which fought for the abducted 300 chibok girls recently decided to take a shot at the presidential role.

The former minister of Education is expected to perform especially Nigerians who have strong believe with support for the girl child and human rights abuse.

8. Hamza Al-Mustapha - People's Party of Nigeria (PPN)

Then CSO of the late General Sani Abacha regime who was acquitted of murder of late Kudirat Abiola, is shooting his shot at civilian politics and he's really taking it big.

9. Omoyele Sowore - African Action Congress (AAC)

The founder of Sahara Reporters group announced earlier this year that he would be running for the presidential post but didn't declare his party.

The former controversial UNILAG SUG president campaigned across the nation especially varsities and was declared as the flag-bearer of AAC.

He's is the convener of the Take it Back Nigeria (TIBN) movement.

10. Adesina Fagbenro-Byron -Kowa Party (KP)

Popularly known as SFB is a founding of the Kowa Party who is based in Lagos.

The Afro-jazz artiste is another new face in the presidential race

11. Prince Eniola Olajuni - Alliance for Democracy (AD)

Having declared his intention for the race on May 30 as remorseful action for workers day, the AD candidates would be going to the 2019 poll with the help of AD elders wishing to pull out some crowds.

12. General John Ogbor - All Progressives Grand Alliance

The former commandant of Nigerian Education Army Corps would be the first flag-bearer of the APGA in ten years at the presidential election.

He would banking on votes from the east especially Anambra where the party holds its ground.

13. Moses Godia Shipi - All Blending Party (ABP)

The widely discussed "A" class business and bauchi-based politician is another candidate who will be depending on his region votes.

The former Isa Yaguda stalwart would be expecting mandates from Christians in Bauchi state.

14. Obadiah Mailafia - African Democratic Congress (ADC)

The fast booming party that has seen defections from both majority party in a presidential primary picked the deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) over Mrs Saidat Odofin.

The ADC who is picking very fast on its grassroots membership might be a run for the party's money.

15. 15. Yabagi Yusuf Sani -Action Democratic Party (ADP)

Another new party whose grassroots membership are gross is the ADP. ADP is said to have the backing of the former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo as some of his loyalists were founders of the party.

In a convention that had 5 million members, the former chairman of ANPP was chosen as the presidential candidate.

16. 16. Tope Fasua Kolade - Abundant Nigeria Renewal Party (ANRP)

The business man founded ANRP in 2016 and announced his interest in May 2018.

Popularly called TKF by political friends, would be another man to watch out for.

17. Usman Zaki - Labour Party (LP)

After Mimiko staged another exit, Usman Zaki emergence as the Labour Party was widely open since the party zoned it ticket to the North

18. Kingsley Moghalu - Young Progressives Party (YPP)

Kingsley Moghalu is the second deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on the presidential candidates list.

He declared his interest to run for president in February 2018 which he later emerged the candidate of the YPP

19. Eunice Uche Atuejide - National Interest Party (NIP)

Eunice is one of those youths running for president whose emergence created an online presence.

She is best known to create the world's first online-based political party.

20. Ahmed Buhari - Sustainable National Party (SNP)

The 39-year old founder of Ahmed Buhari youths movement is one of the youngest presidential candidate.

The kontagara indegene is man loved dearly by people of his community.
