The Hon Commissioner for Economic Empowerment and Job Creation, Hon Barr. Orji Uchenna Orji has described Ebonyi State as the Empowerment hob of the country and the fastest developing State in Nigeria.
Barr Orji stated this during his Monitoring visit to the ITF training centres in Abakaliki today 11/10/18.

The Hon Commissioner who was accompanied by his ministry's staff and some GUMEBA officials said Ebonyi State under His Excellency Engr Chief David Nweze Umahi, FNSE,FNATE has empowered thousands of youths and women to enable them to be self reliant and self sufficient.This has impacted greatly on the living standard of Ebonyi people and as such raising the economic development indices of the State.He said Ebonyi State Government is pleased to partner with the Industrial Training Fund to step down the National Industrial Skill Development Programme in the State.

Through this programme, 300 Ebonyians are receiving training in different centres across the 3 Senatorial Zones of the State. The training billed to last for 3months shall be concluded in the next two weeks after which the participants shall be given starter packs to set up their vocations particularly in POP making, Tilling, event management/ catering service.

Responding,the Area Manager of ITF, Mrs Osagie said Ebonyi State was made to have ITF Area Office because of its strategic importance to the economic Development of the South East. She eulogized the Governor of Ebonyi State for his offer to partner with ITF and the Federal Government in all their empowerment initiatives....

I don't want to compare the states created the same time with Ebonyi state because they are still very backward in terms of infrastructural developments. Such birthday mate state are:

●Bayelsa state.
●Ekiti state.
●Nasarawa state.
●Zamfara state. These states were created the same time (1st October, 1996) by late General Sanni Abucha) but none of these states could be compared with Ebonyi state in all ramifications.

Anambra state was created in 27th August, 1991.She is 6 years older than Ebonyi state and has produced several governors and other national figures. Anambra state has many economical values but in terms of development, I want you to justify with all sincerity.

Between Anambra state and Ebonyi state, which one is developing faster?
