Governor Akeredolu Did Not Walk Out On Labour by AdewunmiFunmi: 1:07pm On Oct 20, 2018
Contrary to the claims by Labour leaders in the state that Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, walked out on them during a meeting with him at the Governor’s Office, it is important to set the records straight so that the innocent public would not be deceived by the wicked lies.

Prior the meeting, the governor’s engagement for the day had an MOU signing ceremony billed to hold at 2pm. But in order to accommodate the meeting with labour, the governor advised that the MOU signing ceremony be rescheduled till after the meeting with labour.

And during the meeting with labour, all the stakeholders spoke and made their requests while the governor listened attentively to their complaints and demands.

After every member of the labour team had spoken, the governor said he had listened to all their demands and complaints, promising that further meetings will hold.

He thereafter excused himself from the meeting in order to attend the MOU signing ceremony, which commenced almost immediately after the labour meeting ended.

It is important to note that Mr Governor sat and listened to all the demands put forward by labour. He stood up to address them after all their leaders had spoken.

Well, labour’s claims should elicit some questions, which answers are well-known to discerning minds: 1. At what point did he walk out of the meeting? 2. Did the all the labour representatives speak during the meeting? 3. After the labour leaders have made their demands, did Mr Governor respond before taking his leave?

The answers to these question will surely resolve the wicked narration of the meeting as being put out by some mischief makers.
Governor Akeredolu is dedicated to the service of the state. He's displayed his dedication to the state workforce by priotizing the payment of workers' salary and arrears, while at the same time making sure that workers’ welfare is taken care of in the areas of training and promotion of deserving workers.

Members of the public should, however, disregard any information suggesting that the governor walked out of a meeting with the labour leaders.
