Early this week, AutoReportNG did a report about the bad state of the Upenme Junction on Owo-Akungba Road In Ondo State. In the report, we reported that the road has become sort of death trap to road users especially cars. Well, we can tell you directly that Ondo State Government do read AutoReportNG as we can confirm that the State Executive Arm has approved immediate repair of the road starting from tomorrow.

This is definitely the power of social media. In as much as we thank the state government for the timely intervention, we want to assure Mr. Richard that we will be watching from close by. We can confirm that truly work has started at Owo /Ikare road as directed by the state governor.

The road is called Owo- Ikare road, not Owo- akungba. The correction is necessary for clarification purposes only.

I can confirm that work is going on but the pace is slow.

That route is mostly the path of buses coming from Abuja and co to Lagos. The more they pass there the more the road weakens. It'd be better if the works can go beyond pouring clay and finishing it on time.

Trust me, they will only grade the road, put some stones and leave it like that.

When the raining season comes again, the plight and trouble of those using the route will increase.

Can Autoreportng and others pls do a post on the roads and other infrastructure in Enugu State because our Governor prefers to leave the basics and spend huge sums on paying petty image launders in Nairaland and other social media as well as and white elephant projects.

Newly employed teachers have not been payed for 7months, pensioners in Enugu State are being owed for over one year.

All the roads in Uwani, Kenyetta Road, the whole of Idaw River Layout (umuchu, Mount, Ikiriki, Omachiana, Ozalla) is amongst the worst, look at the whole Achara Layout: Awkunanaw Street, Etudo, Obianodo, Igbariam, Ubaka to mention but a few. I don't want to talk about the roads in Abakpa or the ones in Emene but remember to wear diving gears if you want to follow Annunciation HOSPITAL road or Sooil Plaza Road. Ebony Paint Road as well as One-Day road are terribly in deplorable conditions so are all adjoining roads in their respective axis.

All the link roads from Enugu-PH express are terrible: the road linking the express to and from Amaechi flyover, the road linking Enugu - PH express to and from Ugwuaji fly over, Ugwuaji road is death trap, Oji River link road to Enugu - Onitsha Express to mention but a few.
Almost all the primary and secondary schools in the state are in deplorable condition.
The State Library before Ogbete is a house of rodents and hudlums.. His predecessors left high standards that he has never come close to making a match.

Sullivan did marvelously well, look at Akwatta in Ogbete, a right thinking Governor should have made it a priority to complement Sullivan's achievements on the road by doing something to the two roads leading to and from the market knowing fully well that the place contributes considerable quota in IGR of the state. Same goes to the industrial layout at Red Cross Road at Holy Ghost and the defunct Industrial Estate at Zik Avenue after First Bank before MTN office.

Rural Communities like Ogulogu in Ezeagu, Iwollo etc will believe that Christ's second coming will happen more quickly than their roads receiving government attention.

He knows he has done nothing commensurate with the funds the state is receiving from federal government that's why he spends a lot on image laundering.
