Are you in the telling business or in the being business?

What's your brand promise? Is it a core part of your business culture? Or is it a facial make-up to be wiped out at bedtime?

Do you even have a well written one, that has a differentiator? Because many don't.

During some brand strategy and design projects I have done for clients which can be found at elinae.com/work, their request at the first contact was always, “I need a logo”.

For them, a logo plastered on marketing materials and attached to ad billboards will get them the people they want.

They are still under the hang over of the pre-internet world.

In the pre-internet world, great brands were built by telling. Organisations told the story of their brands, primarily through advertising and PR.
They talked, and people listened.

No more!

Today, the internet has given enormous power to the consumers. Very strong power!

It's no longer enough to tell stories through ads and PR.
Organizations today must live their brands, through everything they say and do.

That means being for the consumer instead of seaming for them.

If you are spending your time seeming rather than being, you are taking a dishonourable risk.

How are you living your brand today?

Do you feel choked? I'm here to share your story.
