Enugu Govt Has No Plans To Ban Operation Of Tricycles After 2019 Gen. Election by 042report: 6:56am On Nov 01, 2018
The attention of the Enugu State Government has been drawn to rumour making the rounds that it plans to ban the operation of tricycles (Keke) in the state after the 2019 general election.

The state government wishes to state categorically that the allegation is false and baseless as there is no such plan.

The government has implicit confidence in the leadership and membership of the Association of Tricycle Riders Transport Union in Enugu State, has continued to enjoy a cordial working relationship with them as partners in the development of the state and will empower them more after the 2019 general election in line with the policy thrust of the administration.

We therefore, urge the public to discountenance the said rumour as there is no iota of truth in it.

Enugu State is in the hands of God.

Signed:

Hon. Vitus Okechi
Commissioner for Transport
Enugu State

That is a good one from the State Government.
Hoping he keeps to his promise!

Before you believe this story, ask Imolites

Imo state government alleged that the rumor was peddled by enemies of the state, particular PDP. But after the election, we saw how it went.

If you do keke business in Enugu, start drafting your plan B already

They had better not. Keke is a poverty alleviating machine. Cheap to maintain, seats 4passengers, like a car even at the same fare, less fuel consumption and so on.
