IT seems the era of the governors in the PDP wielding unnecessary/obscene influence in the party is almost over,
this was reiterated by the current party chairman, MR nwodo, and i quote below:

"

We are going to bring a lot of electoral reforms in PDP because our primary elections are decided before we get to an election with all commissioners, with all special advisers with all special assistants with chairmen of boards, appointed local government chairmen and appointed councilors, he is (a governor) is already controlling 70 percent of the delegates.

“So if he says that he would be there even for a third term, he has people who will vote for him.
I have seen many gubernatorial aspirants struggling for 30 per cent, whereas one man has 70 per cent before you open your mouth. Is that a contest? Will that allow the best man to be chosen?”

He added: “We have to change this constitution oh. We have to make sure that all these appointees cannot be delegates to our congresses and convention. Many of them are important and popular people. They should go to the ward and test their popularity and be elected as delegates so they can compete. If the people like them, they can be delegates. If people don’t like them let them stay away."

i think this is a good development ,

guys what do you think
