"Haven’t You Watched The Videos Of Ganduje Stuffing Dollars Under His Gown" -PMB

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday broke silence on the bribe-taking videos of Kano State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, saying action would be taken on the matter.

The president’s response on the Ganduje videos followed a remark by a Kano student in France, who lauded the achievements of the governor, especially on scholarship, and advised federal government to emulate the governor.

But the president snapped, asking the student if he had watched the governor’s videos receiving bribe in dollars.

“That aside, haven’t you watched the videos of the governor stuffing dollars under his gown?” the president asked rhetorically while demonstrating how the governor was stuffing the bundles of dollars under his babbarriga.

“We gave the videos to security agencies for vetting. And we will surely take action on the matter if he is found guilty.”

But the president’s response did not go down well with a member representing Nassarawa Constituency, Nassir Ali-Ahmed and personal assistant to the president on Broadcast Media, Sha’aban Sharada, who pleaded with journalists to remove the portion where the president made remark on the governor.

Paris town hall meeting, held at Shangrilla Hotel, was attended by Nigerian Students studying in various institutions in France, Nigerian community in France, APC members in France, among others.

The president was accompanied by Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi, Anambra State Governor Willie Obiano, Ambassador of Nigeria to France Modupe Irele, Minister of Foreign Affairs Geoffrey Onyeama, Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami and National Security Adviser Babagana Monguno.

Buhari always insult the sensibility of Nigerians by addressing burning national issues only when outside this country. angry

So he simply sat down back here in Nigeria while this scandal raged on & was even billed to commission projects in Ganduje home state of Kano while a lawmaker in a constituency today organized prayers for the success of Buhari and Ganduje in 2019 but failed to call on the same governor to resign. embarassed

Abeg which of the security agents are investigating this shame according to the president or of course it's just the usual propaganda charade of the APC?

Meanwhile, how can a sitting president made a statement and a media aid will find it offensive even asking journalists to yank off a portion without any form of rebuke from the president?

Do it means the fella is not aware of the Ganduje-gate dollar tapes or he just trying stupidly to patch up a highly publicized scandal of this nature?

At times we act as if we're in a different planet altogether. Cus what appears normal in other countries is abnormal here, while abnormality is the norm in Nigeria.
Something is terribly wrong somewhere

Don't be too quick to pick sides. Politicians have permanent interests irrespective of political party or corruption tag. Buhari needs votes from Kano and would do anything to get it if adviced by his party men to ignore the allegations till after elections, he would gladly do that without remorse

Buhari need no one to win Kano. Governors in the north need Buhari more than he needs them.

pleaded with which journalist, Nigerian or Foreign journalist?

If the news is true, the begging or pleading should be treated as like the bribery itself.

I mean they should die natural death.

I will take him serious once the governor is found guilty by means of transparent judicial process. Once it is clear that he took bribe, agency in charge must ensure the governor resigns and his political career dented.

Not only that, there must be moral punishment which is jail to set example. Although I don't expect president to do this. It is agency job but president must follow the case with kin interest to ensure justice is served.

If this can get done, I'm sure it will shock some people and maybe this will be the beginning of setting things straight. I will truly respect Buhari for that.
