Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor and former President Owhe PG forum, Ogbuefi Peter Chuks Onaibre JP has been conferred with Peace Ambassador Award by United Nations (UN) Polac in a ceremony held at the Golden Tulip Hotel Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The event which was well attended by both past recipients of the UN-Polac Award was in recognition of his excellent leadership, management skills and immense contributions in peace building in Isoko and Delta State at large.

As a community leader he was actively involved in several conflict resolutions and peace building initiatives all in a bid to ensure that his community and neighbouring towns dwelt together harmoniously. In his address the Director General of Polac represented by his Wife, Her Excellency Mrs. Chidi Enihoro during the presentation of Certificates of Appointment and Induction of New Peace Advocates, admonished recipients to start building peace process around their locality. She stressed the need for recipients to continue to encourage a non-violent approach and also caution against unguided words before and after the forthcoming General Election.

On his part the recipient, Ogbuefi PC Onaibre appreciate the body for the honour and promise to work more for peace in his community and Delta at large.
