Why Buhari Will Lose In 2019 by Rigel95(m): 12:37pm On Dec 31, 2018
These are some of the many reasons why Buhari will lose the 2019 Presidential election;

1.INSECURITY/RISE IN POLITICAL KILLINGS
This administration came in with the promise of nipping the problem of terrorist attacks in the bud, but has been unable to deliver on this front. Infact terrorists have become so emboldened as to attack full military formations wantonely. Also is the increase in the rate of political killings happening all over the country.

2.DIVISIVE NATURE OF THE ADMINISTRATION
Buhari has failed to be the non-ethnic, de-tribalised president expected he would be. He started with the now infamous statement of 97 and 5%,the obvious bias against the Igbos and the people of the South-South would not do his chances any good either. In fact just recently Yemi Osinbajo made the statement that Yoruba should vote for Buhari so that power can be handed over to them. This statement did not go down well with many people of the South-east and South-south.

3.POOR ECONOMY AND LOSS OF JOBS
Just recently, the National Bureau of Statistics released a report saying about 20million Nigerians have lost their jobs since Buhari became President. This coupled with the lack of a clear viable economic direction which led recession in 2016, and the sustained increase in general price level of goods is biting Nigerians hard, and they will respond by voting Buhari out.

4.INCOMPETENT COMMUNICATION AIDES
Despite the fact that Buhari appointed more than 8 direct aides on communication, yet it seems that they are in constant competition of foolery. Their crude attempt at speaking for their principal has been ineffective at best and de-marketing their boss on a regular.

5.A WEAKENED NORTHERN SUPPORT BASE
Buhari won the 2015 presidential election mainly due to a strong support from the North. Buhari enjoyed support from key Northern figures like Rabiu Kwankwanso, Bukola Saraki, Aminu Tambuwal, Buba Galadima, Theophius Danjuma among others have all left the ruling party to support the main opponent of Buhari, Atiku Abubakar. Also the lack of empathy towards the people of the North Central who are being killed everyday by herdsmen Will work against BUhari's re-election.

6.NON PERFORMANCE OF MINISTERS
Despite the fact that it took him more than six months to appoint these ministers, it seems the wait has not been worth it. From the glaring incompetence of Fashola at power, works and housing ministry to the pencil producing minister of science and Technology. These inept appointees are definitely not doing the chances of Buhari's reelection any good.

7.VINDICTIVENESS
One thing that has come to be identified with vindictiveness. Buhari has refused to release Ibrahim el-zakzaky despite pronouncements from various courts within and outside Nigeria. The brazen abuse of power and the use of The police, EFCC,DSS and other organs of government to harass and intimidate perceived opponents Will not work in his favour.

8. DISCONNECTION WITH THE POPULACE
From making various anti-people decisions, labelling Nigerian youths lazy to calling Nigerians corrupt people, his unguided utterances are constantly creating a greater chasm between Buhari and the average Nigerian voter.
The inability of Buhari to hold a Presidential media chat for 3years is not endearing him to Nigerians either.

9.Nepotism
From the appointment of Buhari's cousin to head the DSS,appointment of his retired friend to head the Nigerian customs service, appointment of his niece as INEC Commissioner to the award of contracts to cronies, Buhari's government reeks of nepotism.

10.FAILURE TO DEAL WITH CORRUPTION WITHIN
HIS PARTY
Buhari has failed to deal with corruption within his own party. Many indicted politicians are not prosecuted. In fact many corruption cases are swept under the carpet as long as they are/would wield the broom.

11.LACK OF SUPPORT FROM THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY.
It is no secret that one of the things that worked in Buhari's favour was tremendous support he received from the international community, in fact the then President of the US virtually endorsed Buhari with a statement that was released which stated among other things that Nigeria was ready for a change in government.
This support is fast eroding with damning reports of various human rights abuses perpetrated by the administration.
