As Buhari tenure is coming to an end, lets attempt to draw a comparison between where we were at this time (few days to the elections) to where we are now.

GEJ's Final days before the elections.

1. Boko Haram areas 'retaken in a month' - Nigeria's Goodluck Jonathan

ABUJA (Reuters) - The Nigerian army said on Tuesday it had repelled Boko Haram from all but three local government districts in the northeast, claiming victory for its offensive against the Islamist insurgents less than two weeks before a presidential election.

At the start of this year, Boko Haram controlled around 20 local government areas, a territory the size of Belgium, in its bloody six-year-old campaign to carve out an Islamic state in religiously mixed Nigeria.

2. Nigeria 2nd fastest growing Economy in the World (at 7%).

Once again, African countries are projected to comprise 6 out of 10 of the world’s fastest growing economies (by GDP growth) according to the IMF’s 2014 World Economic Outlook report. economic boom The six fastest growing economies in the top 10 include Chad (9.6% growth), the Democratic Republic of Congo (8.6% growth), Côte d’Ivoire (8.5% growth), Mozambique (8.3% growth), Ethiopia (8.2% growth) and Sierra Leone (8% growth).

Apart from the top 10 list, African countries dominate the top 20 list of fastest growing economies in the world including Tanzania (7.2% growth), Nigeria (7% growth), Burkina Faso (6.7% growth) and Mauritania (6.8% growth).

3. Nigeria 2nd Best investment destination in Africa - KMPG

Ease of doing business is not everything though, and this is reflected in the differing list of the top African countries in which foreigners should invest:

South Africa
Nigeria
Angola
Mozambique
Ethiopia
Tanzania
Ghana
Botswana
Mauritius
Kenya
What makes these countries the most attractive African countries in which to invest are the facts that they feature stable democratic political climates, have established functioning free markets, offer large potential markets due to their large populations, boast huge raw material bases, as well as abundant and inexpensive labor forces.

Also interesting to note is that Nigeria

4. As of this time in 2015, there was no ASUU strike.

Buhari Final Days Before the Election

1. Boko Haram: Security situation in Borno getting worse — Gov Shettima

Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State, Monday night, raised the alarm that the security situation in the state was getting worse. Kashim Shettima He also explained why he has not criticised President Muhammadu Buhari on the issue, saying the President had given him unfettered access to the Presidency on the crisis.

2. Boko Haram captures Borno town after sacking, occupying military base

Boko Haram jihadists have taken over a town in northeast Nigeria after sacking and occupying a military base, local officials and security sources told AFP on Saturday. Scores of fighters believed to be loyal to an Islamic State group-affiliated Boko Haram faction stormed the base in Gudumbali, in the Guzamala area of Borno state.

3. Boko Haram seizes Baga, five other towns in Borno

Boko Haram now controls Nigerian land space as the military has been pushed back from Baga and neighboring villages in the Lake Chad axis of Northern Borno State, North East Nigeria, multiple sources and fleeing residents say.

Sources said there were no more military presence in Baga as they were forced to retreat by the rampaging Boko Haram insurgents who attacked their bases on Wednesday, December 26.

4. “Prepare for long strike” ASUU tells members

THE National President, Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, has directed the striking lecturers in public universities to be ready for a very long strike.

Not to mention Nigeria becoming the poverty capital of the world, dropping drastically in the ease of doing business and becoming one of the world's slowest growing economy.

So I ask, Have we really made progress under Buhari?

my brother Buhari is bad for Nigeria as it is.

I used to support him too....but I've seen that the man is,just so incompetent.

now that we've tried him and seen how incompetent he is, can we just elect someone else and see if the person is,better ?

we will keep changing till we get it right....not wise repeating a failure.

This comparison has shown that Buhari and his APC are the worst of the worst in governance.

Given their penchant for propaganda, it's unfortunate that they have fared worse than the previous govt they castigated and demonized.

After almost four years in power, they are still blaming the past govt for their utter failures.

And who is the overall king of borrowing between the former and present administration? Or is it because you have not heard that they are using such borrowed funds to pay salaries?
