There is an on going attempt by somepoliticians to buy up Permanent Voter Cards or inducing voters with money to collect their Voter Identification Numbers, the Independent National Electoral Commission has cried out.


The chairman of INEC, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, raised the alarm on Monday during its quarterly consultative meeting with political parties in Abuja, where he presented the 2019 voter register and electoral guidelines to the parties.

He said, “A new method of vote-buying is being devised. We have received credible information that some partisan actors are now going round buying up PVCs from voters or financially inducing them to collect the VINs on their PVCs.

They will deceive you to open a bank account using your PVC in the bank and once you have filled the necessary forms which includes the pvc's ivn number,you will be given from 3k to 10k depending on the kind of agent you fell for.

That's why APC is less concerned about campaign... Buying of voters card by the integrity group...
