Walter Onnoghen: Wike Talks Tough, Reveals What Buhari Will Do If He Loses by 17Ebiscoo: 12:28am On Jan 14, 2019
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has revealed that the President Muhammadu Buhari was planning to do to Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Walter Onnoghen what he (Buhari) did to former President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015.

In a strong worded statement he shared on Twitter, Sunday evening, Wike alleged that Buhari was doing anything to muscle power by all means.

Wike said that President Buhari will not handover power if he loses the presidential election.

Reacting to the plan by the presidency to arraign the CJN before the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT on Monday, Wike said the Nigerian Government was waging war against the Niger Delta.

Wike wrote, “Charges concocted by the Buhari administration against the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) are aimed at frightening the Judiciary, ahead of the planned manipulation of the polls.

“The concocted charges against the Chief Justice Of Nigeria are targeted at the Niger Delta, same way they muzzled former President Goodluck Jonathan.

“Since 1960 when Nigeria gained independence, for the first time in 2011, a Niger Delta person became the President. The entire country ganged up against him. They gave excuses and denied us a second term.

“We did not fight. We did not shed blood. He said his ambition was not worth the blood of any Nigerian and they called him a weak man.

“Since 1960, no Niger Delta person has been the Chief Justice of Nigeria.

“When it came to his own time to be appointed the Chief Justice of Nigeria politics came in. They were not willing to appoint him. It was God that created the circumstances.

“The President was sick and was flown out. That was how Onoghen became the Chief Justice of Nigeria.

“Now, because they believe that the Niger Delta is not part of this country, they have come again with all kinds of stories.

“They think they are talking to small children. Fabricated stories and said he did not declare his assets in 2011.

“Step aside for who take over? We must know whether or not we belong to this country. Enough is enough. I have never seen people who are so desperate to cling to power.

“When they came before to attack the judiciary, I raised alarm. I told them what they were doing is part of their future plan. Unfortunately, NBA did not realise it. They chickened out and gave out their judges, not knowing that the lion is still waiting somewhere to complete the assignment.

“They have INEC and the security agencies. They have plotted how to rig the elections. But they have not been able to gag the judiciary.

“In order for them to consolidate in their rigging machinery, they want to gag the judiciary . The only that they want to do is to intimidate the judiciary.

“They know and the law is clear. You cannot try any judge except the National Judicial Council approves.

“They know they cannot try the CJN. But all they are doing is to cause embarassment. Put fear in all the judges.

“An Attorney General who calls himself an Attorney General will sit and file such charges against the Chief Justice of Nigeria one month to the general election.

“What kind of crisis are they setting up. They want to cause crisis in the judiciary and they think everyone should keep quiet?

“The extreme manipulation of the system and the enthronement of a culture of impunity by the Buhari administration will not augur well for the country.

“Nigeria will resist any attempt to truncate this democracy. With what I am seeing with this present government, because they are smelling defeat, they are not likely to hand over if they lose. Mark it today.

“If they lose, they will prefer something funny to happen. Anybody that does that will face the consequences. Now they are pushing people to the wall. Be careful how you deny people their mandate. Allow people’s votes to count.

“We are no longer in a democracy. This system is worse than the military. Even under the military, opinions of the people count.

“Any security personnel plotting evil against Rivers State will face God’s judgment and punishment.”

If Wike said this, I wonder what he is afraid of. CJN is not above the law. Let him prove himself innocent. This has nothing to do with the Niger Delta people. The law is the bases. Let the law be upheld.

Are you trying to say some people are above the law?

1. Oshiomhole has a pending corruption case in court
2. Akpabio has a pending criminal/corruption cases in court after several petitions against him
3. Fashola has issues to settle in the court over obvious inflation of government projects
4. Amaechi was indicted by a panel who have also dragged him to the court
5. Minister of Technology has certificate issues
6. Kemi Adeosun had certificate issues yet she was guarded to London and protected by this government

And the list is endless...

Why can't they first prosecute one of their own instead of chasing the wind?

angry
No, Niger Delta continue sleeping oh, let Igbos continue to fight for you and your sons/daughters, abi Igbos are they not the defenders of every oppressed tribe or person or group in Nigeria

Middlebelt depend on Igbos to help them fight Hausa-Fulani oppression!

Niger Delta hide behind Igbos so Igbos will be fighting for them while Hausa-Fulani and Yoruba label Igbos troublemakers, make una continue sleeping on moving bicycle na, it will clear in your eyes one day and there will be no more Igbos to fight for you minorities that don't appreciate Igbo effort to checkmate Hausa-Fulani and Yoruba overbearing attitude and marginalization of other tribes in national politics and events, continue undecided

Hausa-Fulani and Yoruba connived against your son Goodluck, frustrated his government using Boko Haram, protest against every good policy Goodluck tried to make, they organized protest against Goodluck for trying to remove fuel subsidy that is killing Nigeria.

Pastor Tunde Bakare, Tinubu, El Rufai, Fashola, etc headed it and made sure Goodluck was frustrated as a President.

Goodluck appointed Ihejirika to help flush out Boko Haram once and for all, immediately BHT started dying, it was about becoming a past, Muhammadu Buhari and northern political oligarchs started screaming that a fight against Boko Haram is a fight against northern Nigeria.

That Goodluck sent Iyanmiri (Igbo man) to come and finish them. Goodluck listened and removed Ihejirika for no reason. and appointed their sons to handle Boko Haram and security issues for peace to reign, now they turned against Goodluck.

All the northern top military officers ganged up against Goodluck, making sure all his efforts to flush out Boko Haram was not achieved, they embezzled money meant to fight BHT, they intentionally refused to give soldiers orders to go after BHT, they gave Boko Haram terrorists information of Nigerian military plans and tactics, at the end they ganged up with Yorubas and labelled Goodluck evil and Obama ignorantly joined them and removed Goodluck.

Even after Goodluck has been defeated, humiliated and being cursed unjustly, Igbos continued to stand by him and defend him and if not Igbos, Hausa-Fulani and Yoruba would have hanged Goodluck alive like Ken Saro-Wiwa, yet they will tell the same Niger Delta people that Igbos hate them and they will foolishly listen & believe them, not knowing that it is their divide-and-rule tactics to keep siphoning Niger Delta oil to enrich themselves and develop their regions angry angry

Now Karma is paying them back one after the other.

I don't pity Saraki nor Atiku nor Kwankwaso nor Tambuwal or any of them. They are reaping the evil they planted and soon it will get to Tinubu and co, just a matter of time.

Atiku if they rig the election and defeat you, then swallow it. It is your own reward for helping to install evil!!

Igbos have been the only ones fighting all these evil oppression from Hausa-Fulani and Yoruba.

They call Igbos haters just because Igbos don't allow them do their nonsense gang up against innocent people and minority tribes...just because Igbos keep saying treat every Nigerian and every Nigerian tribe equally, they hate Igbos for that and say they are haters and troublemakers yet these haters keep progressing more than you despite your using Niger Delta oil to enrich yourselves and develop your regions undecided

Igbos are now the face of opposition in Nigeria.

But same Hausa-Fulani and Yoruba will turn around to tell Niger Delta that their worst enemy is Igbos, but when in time of trouble it is the same Igbos that fight for Niger Delta whether good or bad, only Igbos defend and stand up for Niger Delta but because of crude oil, they will deceive Niger Delta that Igbos are their worst enemies but they forget to tell Niger Delta that Igbos have crude oil too.

Both the crude oil reserves Hausa-Fulani and Yoruba controlled federal government intentionally abandoned and refused to explore in Igbo lands just to spite Igbos and to make other tribes believe Igbos have no crude oil and will be worst of if they get their freedom, but they forget to tell them that there is huge crude oil reserve in Ihiagwa, Nekede, Mbaise, Uguta, Umuagwo, Egbema, etc that are yet to be explored.

Niger Delta make una continue sleeping okay undecided

The truth is that Wike has been bribing judges, no be today.

How do you guys think Wike got the judgment for removal of Ali Modu Sheriff? The judgment was illogical but this same Supreme Court under Onnoghen said it was in national interest.

Wike's contact in the SC is Mary Odili. That's the agent.

This is the same thing that Yar Adua did when he gave SC Justices 67M dollars through Justice Ogebe. In fact, Wikileaks carried it.

Now, that plan has been busted.

If you check the source of the funds in the account the CJN claimed he forgot to declare, you'll see that the CJN is under external influence.

Hmmm.

The thing is, tribalism has always been a factor in Nigerian politics, and the populace has always tried to downplay it to some extent.

However, with the coming of this dinosaur president we have now, tribalism has taken the first and prominent place in politics.
Almost every political discuss and manoeuvre nowadays needs to be viewed from a tribal prism, because that's what the illiterate dictator considers first and foremost before he takes any action.
Buhari is so unapologetic in his narrow mindedness and archaic views that everyone is now being forced to talk and act along tribal lines, without feeling any embarrassment over it.

CCT is not trying him for professional negligence but for criminal acts . Governors grow up. Gone are the days of cabals. If you do the crime do the time. This is the big change we voted for.
CJN Salary/Annum = N9,012,000 CJN savings in Foreign Accounts alone = N250,500,000. Does he trade in Judgements?

However u want to look at it. The judiciary arm is very corrupt and full of unscrupulous individuals and as such must me looked into. Our judiciary is one of the major problems of this country. We can't trust them to dish out justice in an effective manner. The corruption in the judiciary systems has to be really looked into.

If we are to go by what Femi Falana and Afe Babalola have said, that no external bodies can investigate a seating judge for any crime, then wherein lies the doctrine of Separation of Powers.
Even the Executive with its clearly spelt out immunity cannot investigate itself.
Does the NJC have any agency that can conduct a detailed investigation on a criminal case?
Obviously, we have a lacuna here and the Judiciary is exploiting that ambiguity.
But the obvious is inevitable because either way, the chicken will come home to roast.

If the CJN can only be investigated by the NJC then he has a moral burden to step aside for a proper investigation.
