The economy is growing by about 2% yearly while it needs 7% to create enough jobs to cater to those entering the labour force annually. The economic record of this government is too poor. 1 Like |

Government of lies deceiving the gullible Nigerians. How many lives have been transformed so far from poverty compared to lives sent into penury. |

You can't even fight poverty with N-Power not to talk of 10k. The only way to fight poverty with N-Power is to give the beneficiaries the total sum of 2yrs stipend in a single payment. Monthly 30k will drag someone neck deep into poverty than bringing the person out of poverty. pentax: |

ybalogs: 11,000,000 jobs were lost during the recession, the primary cause was the foriegn exchange policies he introduced which the ex CBN governor,Lamido Sanusi was unrelenting in condemning and which has been the biggest source of corruption in this administration enriching his relations and associates. He personally I believe is clean. The economy meanwhile has been growing very poorly. Growth last year was 1.81% and this year is estimated by independent sources to be 2%. What this mean is that with the population growing by 2.5% yearly, the average Nigerian will be 2%- 2.5% = 0.5% poorer. The economy needs to grow by at least 7% to create enough jobs to cater for those entering the labour market yearly. 2% is just too poor and that means the jobless rate is rising very fast as the economy is far from creating enough jobs. From 1999 - 2013, the economy grew on average 6.7 yearly leading to a doubling in the economy in less than 14years. The middle class grew and public debt was either reduced or better managed. Public debt has grown from 12% of GDP to 22% of GDP under Buhari and should hit 32% within another 4years. Already, debt servicing is already eating a large part of the budget. This is clearly unsustainable. It is these fundamentals that economists look at and not just a newly constructed road which may have been built using borrowed money which will simply increase the debt burden. 1 Like |

rxmusa: What commitment? When Inflation rate is over 12%, Economic projection 2% and high level of unemployment. Example : Dangote was worth $23 billion in 2015, but now he's worth $10 billion. Nigeria today, is the headquarters of poverty globally. |
